A strange energy is in the air during this recording as we get back to the business of talking about Dirty Pair. And what better way for us to knock the rust off of our somewhat atrophied podcasting muscles than to tackle a story of love, loss, and desperation. And a hyper-intelligent Nazi mouse. Really it's mostly about the Nazi mouse. I mean, if you ran into something like that you'd probably talk about it, right? We thought so too, and so we spend some time unpacking the weird security system at the heart of this episode.

We finally managed to read a calendar properly, so when you hear that the next episode will arrive on October 19th, you can be confident that it will, in fact, arrive on October 19th. I'm really calling my shot here, I hope nothing bad happens to me.

We near the halfway point of this podcasting venture with a splendid little episode about being overworked, the damage that can do to your relationships, and the importance of vacation. Also, the cops are shit - it wasn't until doing this podcast that I realized how poorly they do their job throughout this series, but it sure has become a recurring theme.

Kei and Yuri hate kids, love parties, tolerate their boss-dad Gooley, and at the end of the day, no matter what happens, they have each other. Spirits willing and the creek don't rise, you'll have a new episode of this podcast to listen to on October 5th.

Here we are once again for another episode of Dirty Pair, and this time we spend a lot of time being angry about monarchies in general and one specific prince, whom Kei and Yuri have to get back to his homeworld before a dastardly drug-dealing duke puts his divine right to rule to the ultimate test. Do things go smoothly? Of course they don't. Does Yuri get a face-full of Kei's ass? You bet she does! Does one of our podcast hosts - I won't spoil which one - go on a rant and wish misfortune upon a twelve year old child?

Oh wow, oh wow do we have an episode this time. It's got everything you could want in it: an audio clip from a different show, the most oblique reference to Sincere Engineer that I could think of at the time, and far more discussion of Metal Gear than I remember having, but I guess that sneaks up on you. You wanna know what makes a woman explode? Don't we all. Does this episode of Dirty Pair answer that question? It depends on whether you think they're roommates or roommates (oh my god they were roommates).

We've made it to episode 7, which means we've made it to The Episode You Probably Heard About. In celebration, we've prepared our longest discussion yet on just what makes this episode stand out from every other episode of Dirty Pair thus far (and moving forward, honestly). Kei and Yuri do a cool dance, there's a song about hamburgers, someone does an Interstellar on purpose, and above all, we find out if two crazy kids can make it in this mixed up world of ours.

Also, we had to uh, drop the audio quality a step or two on this one so it came in under the size limits that we're working with on Acast. Wasn't expecting that to ever come up as an issue but, well, here we are! Hopefully it still sounds good (I checked; it does still sound good).

You might think that I was on vacation and sat down in the midst of this to edit together this podcast and you'd be RIGHT. Coming in as hot as it's ever come in, episode 5 contains another brief Gundam digression, some tips on the building and painting of plastic models, and, of course, a whole lot of talk about Criados and the heartbeat of Criados. How determined is Kei to go on a date (Very Determined)? How will Yuri handle Kei's determination (with patience and grace, probably)? And just what is the song of the summer?

Oh, and something happens to Nanmo.

I know that I say in the episode that the next episode of the podcast drops July 6, but obviously that isn't true! The next episode doesn't drop until July 13! It's almost like we recorded a batch of these episodes and I was reading the calendar wrong the entire time. I'll not sugarcoat it: we spend an inordinate amount of time talking about throwing an apple core into the trash in this episode. It's good talk, though, so I won't hear any complaints. If apple cores going into trash cans isn't your thing, however, never fear! We also talk about thumb wrestling, cheesecake, gender reveals, and the ethics of biotech.

Speaking of things you shouldn't worry about, there's some kinda audio crunchiness with Paul's vocals a couple times here, but he cleaned it up pretty nice so maybe you didn't even notice it until I said something about it! Whoops!

You there, what day is it? Why, it's new Project P.O.D. Day! The day where we deliver unto you the final episode from our first marathon recording session, which means that this one took a little extra time to edit because there were a lot more protracted silences as we attempted to hold onto our scattered thoughts and not just say UHHHHHH a lot (we failed). But we persevered, and have delivered unto you this hot and ready episode all about the mysterious Golem Chip and Kei and Yuri's interrupted vacation plans. Much like this podcast, episode three is where the show really starts to come into its own, and we get a real action-packed episode with some satisfying twists and turns. Come for the casino intrigue, stay for Kei's seductive bait, the girls establishing they operate on the "dibs" system, Yuri's poker skills, a wrestling match, Mughi and Nanmo providing the best backup possible and (most importantly) the noise Kei makes when Yuri rips her dress off! Oh, and I guess there's some weird old fortune teller who's probably not important.

Next episode we'll be discussing "The Case Smells Like Cheesecake and Death!" These episode titles really are the best in the business. Pod drops on June 15, please look forward to it.
