Disciple Keys

"Jesus, take all of me, to glorify yourself." Today's podcast is focused on whatever we do, we should be glorifying the Lord. There is a common misconception among believers that we have to have a "quiet time" or just go to church on Sunday; but actually, Jesus isn't just available for relationship in a "quiet time" or during church. He's with you as you're driving to work, picking up the kids, cooking dinner, or heading to bed. Jesus' presence should be like a fragrant perfume that you wear no matter what you are doing. Our everyday actions should be glorifying to the Lord.

"Always be on my lips" comes from Psalm 34 where the Psalmist is proclaiming that they will "extol the Lord at ALL times and His praise will always be on my lips." May our lives be reflections of our praise of the Father whether we are in storms or in peaceful times. Are you walking through a storm in your life right now? Are you struggling to find a way through the ups and downs? Today's devotional is about your heart trusting that God is in control and hasn't abandoned you or forgotten you in the storms of your life. What do we do in our storms? We praise Him. Putting on the garment of praise lifts the weight of the storm and turns our eyes away from the wind and waves and fixes our eyes on Jesus instead.

We're jumping into Week 5 (current week for 2021) of Disciple Keys. This week our church planting movement principle is to "develop indigenous praise and worship." As you and others seek to plant house churches around the world and ignite movements, worship becomes a vital key to seeing breakthroughs in all that you do. Worship sustains every believer as they face trials and temptations. Worship is for us as individual disciples but also as we go forth and make disciples of all nations.
