Hello Thrivers! I'm back and ready to talk with you today about Freedom! Please don't forget to share, subscribe and like the Discipleship Matters Podcast show and thank you in advance. This week, let's talk about our Spiritual Freedom! How important is it to be free in your spirit and how do we gain that freedom? It is already a struggle when a person knows that they are in bondage, but it makes matters worse when someone who should be leading them to freedom is JUDGING them. In St. John 8:15, Jesus tells the religious leaders that they judge according to the flesh, but He does not judge. This means that they were judging from their fleshly perspective and judging others from their outward actions. In other words, they judge from fleshly suspicions and not by love. Jesus says, "I do not judge, but if I did, it would be true." Let us love others instead of judging others. Let us welcome the lost instead of pushing them away by our fleshly assumptions which breeds judgment. I was taught by my first Pastor, the Late Archie Lee Miller,Sr., " We are suppose to catch the fish(mankind) , but God's word does the cleaning. St. John 15:3 therefore, judging cannot work in the equation of love. I hope that you enjoy this episode of Discipleship Matters Podcast Show.
Wisdom is the absolute most essential spirit to live fruitful lives and to lead others to become disciples of Jesus Christ. Without wisdom, we will walk in error and will surely bring offense instead of freedom while making disciples. Jesus gave his 12 disciples who became the 12 Apostles the wisdom and instructions needed to win the lost sheep of the house of Israel back to him in the book of St. Matthew 10. Moving forward, let us listen to Holy Spirit even more as he teaches us today how to win souls back to Christ. As this year of 2021 is ending, let us go into 2022 following the Spirit of Wisdom so that we may "Thrive" in every area of our lives. And become better disciples of Jesus Christ as well as make more mature disciples of him.
Happy New Year and Shalom, Shalom !!
As disciples of Jesus Christ, sometimes God calls us completely out of our ordinary to give us His Extraordinary. Our show today is with the Powerful Ms. Yolanda Munoz who gave up her former life as a model to become a disciple of Jesus Christ. She was brave enough to tell others that she was leaving the modeling industry to follow Jesus Christ. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to follow him as it says in St.Matthew 16:24c. Now Yolanda is a successful life coach entrepreneur, homeschool mom, minister and so much more. She is blazing a trail for others to follow but she is doing it by following Jesus Christ. Let's listen to Yolanda as she helps us to understand the importance of giving it all up to gain everything on Discipleship Matters.

This is the week of Thanksgiving 2021 and we have so many things to be thankful for. But is thanksgiving a once a year celebration or should it be a way of life? Episode 3 is one of my favorites already! This episode comes as a question of "Guess who's coming to dinner"? It begins in the text of St. Luke 14:15 where a certain man prepares a great feast and he sends the invitation by his servant. However the original guest declines the invitation by giving excuses. The master becomes angry at those who rejected his invitation and opens the invite to others. You will be surprised as to who gets to come to dinner. Take a listen and find out.
In episode #2, I discuss how to "come alongside" someone in discipleship as in 2 Corinthians 1:4. Because Jesus has come alongside of us, now we are to do the same with someone else. The reason for this part of the relationship that leads to discipleship is to bear up, stand next to and support those who want to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. I will speak a little about my first disciple maker. I hope that this episode helps you to come alongside someone today. Blessings!
