Some trials continue long after we hoped they would end. Grief remains, prayers seem unanswered, and waiting becomes exhausting. God's Word teaches Christians to give thanks while bringing their sorrow honestly before the Lord. In this episode of Contending for the Word Q&A, Dave Jenkins considers Habakkuk 3:17–19 and Lamentations 3:21–24 to explain how gratitude rests in God's unchanging character. He discusses biblical lament, receiving daily grace, trusting God's work while waiting, and remembering our identity in Jesus Christ. Listeners are encouraged to remain close to Scripture, prayer, corporate worship, and the fellowship of the local church. Because Jesus Christ died and rose again, believers can face prolonged suffering with hope. The Lord who sustained His people yesterday will continue to give them grace for today. Remaining Thankful When Trials Do Not End

Contentment is learned as Christians depend on Christ through the circumstances God has given them. In Philippians 4:10–13, Paul describes learning to remain content in both abundance and need because Christ strengthens him. In this episode of Equipping You in Grace, Dave Jenkins continues the series Contentment in a Restless World by examining how believers can trust the Lord when life does not go according to plan. Dave explains Philippians 4:13 in context, considers how disappointment can expose misplaced expectations, and offers practical encouragement to grow through Scripture, prayer, gratitude, and fellowship in the local church. Christ's sustaining grace equips His people to remain faithful through changing circumstances while keeping their eternal hope in view. Learning Contentment When Life Does Not Go According to Plan

Justin Peters welcomes Todd Friel to discuss Go Serve Your King: The Key to Extraordinary Purpose in Everyday Life. Drawing on 1 Corinthians 10:31 and Hebrews 1:3, they consider how Christ's lordship shapes work, relationships, rest, and ordinary responsibilities. Their conversation also addresses biblical warnings about false teachers, the joy of obedience, and the importance of connecting sound doctrine with love for Christ and godly living. They share encouragement from faithful pastors and discuss concerns about using AI to write sermons. Serving Christ in Everyday Life with Todd Friel

How should Christians answer difficult questions about the Bible and the Christian faith? Dave Jenkins explains how to respond with biblical conviction, careful listening, gentleness, and respect. Addressing suffering, biblical reliability, salvation through Christ alone, sexuality, church hypocrisy, and judgment, he offers practical guidance for defending the faith while keeping Christ and the gospel central. Answering Hard Questions About Christianity

God has revealed His eternal power and divine nature through creation, leaving humanity without excuse before Him. Expounding Romans 1:19–20, Dave Jenkins explains the clarity and universality of general revelation, the suppression of truth, and human accountability. Creation reveals the Creator, but sinners need the gospel of Jesus Christ for salvation. This message calls believers to worship God, give thanks, and faithfully proclaim Christ.
