  • He Steadfastly Set His Face
The sermon examines Luke 9 to illustrate Jesus' unwavering determination to fulfill the Father's will despite facing rejection and opposition. It contrasts the modern church's tendency toward comfort and entertainment with the biblical call for total surrender and undivided commitment to Christ. The preacher argues that true discipleship requires sacrificing personal preferences and prioritizing obedience over earthly responsibilities or excuses. By analyzing Jesus' interactions with the Samaritans and potential followers, the message highlights that following Him demands immediate action without looking back. Ultimately, the audience is challenged to abandon distractions and align their lives with the high cost of faithful obedience.

  • What Now!?
The sermon addresses the reality of life's difficulties by categorizing their sources into uncontrollable circumstances, personal choices, and divine purposes for spiritual maturity. Drawing primarily from Nehemiah chapter five, the speaker illustrates how believers must distinguish between external pressures like inflation and internal failures caused by sin. The central message emphasizes that while some problems are inevitable, others result from poor decisions or serve to refine character through discipline and discipleship. Believers are urged to acknowledge God as the ultimate problem solver and rely on His Word, prayer, and the Holy Spirit for guidance. Ultimately, the text calls for right choices rooted in trust in Christ to navigate trials and fulfill God's purpose.

  • The Gospel Way Catechism | Introduction
We believe that the ministry of the church happens most vibrantly when every member is growing in their relationship with Jesus and one another. Discipleship truly is a lifelong process of learning to hear, trust, and obey Jesus in every area of life. The Gospel Way Catechism is a tool written by our friend Thomas West and Trevin Wax. This catechism ("teaching" or "instruction") falls in a long line of faithful teachings provided by church leaders that have helped shape the beliefs of followers of the Way (John 14:6 and Acts 9:2) for thousands of years. "Fifty truths that take on the world" is an apt description of this catechism and are excited to introduce the journey ahead for our church family. • DON’T LET THE RUTS CHOOSE YOUR ROAD
DON'T LET THE RUTS CHOOSE YOUR ROAD. WHEN TRADITION TAKES THE PLACE OF TRUTH Mark 7:6–15 KJV Why are standard railroad tracks spaced an unusual 4 feet, 8½ inches apart? A popular historical story traces that measurement through earlier British railways, wagon-ways, road ruts, and eventually ancient transportation. While the familiar "two horses" explanation oversimplifies the history, it illustrates an important spiritual truth: once a rut becomes established, generations can continue following it without asking why.In Mark 7:6–15, Jesus confronted religious leaders who elevated human traditions above God's commandments. This message challenges believers to distinguish biblical convictions from personal preferences and inherited traditions. Traditions can be valuable, but they must never replace the authority of Scripture. We must continually ask not merely, "What have we always done?" but, "What does God's Word say?"Don't let yesterday's ruts determine tomorrow's road. Let God's Word light the way, and follow Jesus.

  • Half-Truths Are Dangerous: Biblical Discernment in a Confused Age
Most false teaching does not begin with an outright rejection of biblical truth. It begins with distortion: a verse removed from context, one doctrine emphasized at the expense of another, or biblical language subtly redefined. In this episode of the Weekly Watch, Dave Jenkins explains why half-truths can be more dangerous than obvious lies and why biblical discernment is essential for every Christian. Beginning with Genesis 3, Dave examines how the serpent distorted God's Word and character by mixing truth with error. He then considers common modern half-truths, the danger of confirmation bias, the importance of biblical context, and Paul's commitment to proclaiming the whole counsel of God. Christians do not need to become experts in every false teaching. They need to know Christ and His Word. The deeper believers grow in Scripture, sound doctrine, and biblical theology, the better equipped they become to recognize truth that has been twisted or taken out of balance. Learn to test teaching according to Scripture, recognize biblical language being used in unbiblical ways, and remain grounded in the whole counsel of God. • Proven Character
This sermon examines the apostle Paul's method of evangelism and discipleship as recorded in 1 Thessalonians 2, highlighting his gentle, loving, and labor-intensive approach to mentoring new believers. The speaker emphasizes that effective spiritual leadership requires a combination of tender care, self-sacrificing work to avoid being a burden, and upright conduct that models godliness. By analyzing Paul's actions toward the church in Thessalonica, the message illustrates how mentors must impart both the gospel and their own lives to guide others toward maturity in Christ. The central theme underscores that discipleship is not merely instructional but involves exhortation, encouragement, and a lifestyle worthy of God. Ultimately, the goal of this process is to help believers walk in a manner that pleases God and reflects the truth of salvation by grace through faith.
