Discography Discussion

Novembers Doom is a band who has unfairly been compared to Opeth throughout their career. On this episode of Discography Discussion, we sit down with beloved friend of the show Michael Yahne to get his take on this American doom/progressive metal band. Is the Opeth comparison fair? We don’t think so...most of the time. Enjoy. #discussmetal #NovembersDoom

We tell a lot of stories on Discography Discussion. For Sevendust, we felt that the story was too important to tell alone, so we called Scott Bowling (Good Company) and Morgan Rose (Sevendust) to help us wade through the history of this now classic band. Get ready for this one, as Morgan takes us back to the start of the band, and brings us to today. Also, Joe sets out to prove he is the ultimate fanboy on this one. Enjoy! #discussmetal #Sevendust #GoodCompany

Shai Hulud is a name that is synonymous with hardcore and metalcore. This makes it very hard to be objective when discussing this all time great and pioneering band. Bryan Patton of As The Story Grows was kind enough to step in and help us stay objective. #discussmetal #ShaiHulud #AsTheStoryGrows

Facedown records is a label most would associate with hardcore. That is what makes “Hope for the Dying” such an anomaly. They are a band that plays with hardcore bands every night, but is firmly rooted in progressive metal. On this episode of Discography Discussion, Dan and Joe attempt to make sense of each complicated slab of metal that Hope for the Dying throws down. Enjoy! #discussmetal #HopeForTheDying
