The Bible is supposed to challenge us and make us uncomfortable. Hell and eternal damnation is not a pleasant thought, but the Bible and Jesus especially talks about hell a lot. The biblical reality is that sin is gross offense against God's divine holiness. Per Matthew 18, sin is an incalculable debt that we cannot possibly repay. Accounts will one day be settled. The good news is that Jesus Christ has fully paid the sin debt for all who put their trust in him.
