The former Frankfurt boy has become a Berlin regular playing at Marlon Hoffstadt's phone-free “Savour The Moment” series and with his own event “Guilty Pleasure” at Paloma Bar (Berlin). He’s notorious for endless closing sets. F R A N C E S C O • H A W A I I (@francesco_hawaii / @VeniVidiTanzi @DiscoSpaandBeauty, Dresden | GER) used to listen to a lot of punk rock and metal. But as his desire to dance grew immeasurably over the years, he couldn’t help but getting stuck with disco and funk.

And that is also the reason why he and @joe_handsome started the @VeniVidiTanzi series of events at “Zille” back in the days. They just wanted to dance to the music they like and get those far too many vinyl records on the shelves at home a chance to be heard. To their surprise: the audience seemed to like this symbiosis very much.

Since then the sounds became more and more electronic, the DJing more digital, but the passion for collecting vinyl records has remained.

Even now, the main focus of his music is to make people feel free and dance the way they feel, and if possible, even in a hot tub (which is actually where we last met him at a party)! So bubble away and feel free, everyone! 🏝️

DISCOnnect presents: Carmen's Special 80s Mixtape w/ Bert Radscho & Ronald KOON

Nach vielen back-to-back DJ-Gigs war es nun an der Zeit für @radscho & @ronaldkoon, sich im Studio 325 in Dresden einzuschließen und ein Mixtape der besonderen Art zu kreieren.

Die beiden verbindet nicht nur die Zugehörigkeit zur DISCOnnect-Family, sondern auch die Vorliebe für die Sounds der 80er. In dem entstandenen Tape ist nun alles dabei: vom elektronischem Avantgardismus bis zu poppigen Klassikern – just 80s!

Doch so ein Projekt entsteht selten ohne Anlass: Die eigentliche Initiatorin des ganzen Projektes war Berts Mutter! Sie wird dieser Tage 50 und wünschte sich ein besonderes 80s-Mixtape von ihrem Sohn. Natürlich wollen wir euch aber diesen besonderen Mix nicht vorenthalten! Enjoy!

After many back-to-back sessions at DJ gigs, it was finally time for @radscho & @ronaldkoon to lock themselves into Studio 325 in Dresden and create a special tape together. Not just connected through their DISCOnnect family, the two friends also share a big love for 80s sounds. The tape has it all: from electronic avant-garde to pop classics – pure 80s brilliance!

S A N A • F U J I M U R A (@howmuchadollarcost | New York, USA) is an NYC based DJ and founder of “Amici Tomodachi” - a party label dedicated to promoting global friendship through music. Through “Amici Tomodachi”, she has hosted parties starring local DJs including Dee Diggs, Kilopatrah Jones, DJ Monchan and the late Francis Nishida. At the last preCovid party by Uptown Vinyl Supreme, she opened up for the legendary DJs Grand Wizzard Theodore and Natasha Diggs. Her sets are marked by an eclectic selection of funky sounds, covering an expansive range of genres from 90s hip hop to acid house.

J A N A • F A L C O N [@jana-falcon | Berlin, GER] grew up in the 1990s with Euro Dance, UK Garage, 2 Step and the likes. She moved from Frankfurt to Berlin around 2011. In 2016, after a long way to go with producing, mixing, mastering and especially facing up to the art of cutting Vinyl records, her first record was released on “Smile for a while.”
