Inspirational Book for Children and Adults
Beatrice Baker: Bringer of Joy is a delightful tale of a second grade girl and her imaginary friend, Polly. Kansas City author Fran Riedemann skillfully, yet gently, presents realistic family trials from the perspective of a child. Her book contains a well balanced blend of humor and spiritual wisdom.
About Beatrice Baker
In a day when so many children (and adults) are struggling with the dysfunction in their family and society, Beatrice Baker reminds us to have a joyful perspective as we trust in the Lord to see us through our trials.
The perpetual optimistic outlook of Beatrice's character in the face of real life hardships will remind adults to embrace the purity of their inner child. For the youth reader Beatrice Baker is an inspirational role model for how God can work through them to impact their family and the world in powerful ways.
"It is my hope that Beatrice will not only be a blessing to children, but that she will remind parents and grandparents to tell them their own stories from their childhoods". - Fran Riedemann

I LOVE this book!
I read this book to my then-4 year old granddaughter on a recent extended visit. Each night she couldn't wait to see what happened in the next chapter, and really became involved with each character. Because the meanings of the names of the characters are explained in this delightful little book, she became very interested in knowing the meaning of her own name, which we researched online. When I went back just a few weeks ago for her 5th birthday, she couldn't wait to re-visit Beatrice and her Mom! This little book took me back, too, to summer visits with my grandmother and a much simpler and more innocent time. I really enjoyed it!
LOVE IT!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS BOOK! I am 10 years old and I received the Beatrice Baker book from Mrs. Riedemann herself, we sat by her at church. She delivered a signed copy to me as a special treat! I read the book in 2 days, I didn't want to put it down. It made me laugh and I love that! My friend is reading it now and said she LOVES it too! I hope Mrs.
