Prayer is the relationship builder between you and God. Prayer is a conversation with God founded on His offer of relationship to us because of His Son, Jesus. Prayer is not meditation or obligation but a spirit to Spirit communion with our Father.

In this sermon I talk about our approach to prayer, is it like Mary or Martha? One was too busy to listen and connect while the other chose the one thing that could not be taken away from her, a rich and attentive relationship with Jesus.

Raising children is one of our greatest responsibilities. The role fathers play in the lives of their children and their children’s children is crucial and behind all that is a father who stays the path.

We heard three powerful testimonies, highlighting the power of sticking to the path; the power of a grandfather who speaks identity and life into his granddaughter, a father whose wrestle with life and encounters with God have helped him stay the path and strengthen not only his marriage but his relationship with his children and finally, a father who navigated a marriage breakdown and followed the voice of God which led him to where he is today as a proud father of three beautiful teenage children!

Today we celebrate fatherhood in our special Father’s Day service!

Education is a key component in raising strong children who are able to affectively influence their culture and world.

 

Avril Howard shared with us how education must become a sanctuary to all who are engaged in it, a firm foundation, a sanctuary where children can experience God’s love, healing power and peace.
