Surprising

What made the experience of listening to Higher Brain Function Hypnosis the most enjoyable?

The impact this had on me the following day was great. While my general disposition is already what I'd consider normal and neutral, I found that my mood was elevated and saw humor in many things. Likely a side effect of the true intent of this audio. So far I've only listened once and plan to listen again soon. In general it's recommended to listen to these types of audio every day or night for 3 weeks - like a therapy - but I see no such recommendation from the publisher. I was more engaged at work, saw the points people were trying to make - quicker, and all around more astute and prone to laughter.

What is most surprising is that there aren't very many other reviews of this hypnosis audiobook. Best kept secret and I'm glad to have found it. I also have hopes that this deeper mode of relaxation might assist with my borderline high blood pressure by setting my body back into a healing and recovery mode while being so relaxed.

Didn't work for me

Ive been a practising metaphysician for many years, and tried this audiobook three times, but it did nothing for me. A sub-standard clanging of singing bowls had no effect apart from irritation, especially as compared to a good Tibetan CD of same. Not much more can be said for the other sound effects.

I tried it awake and asleep. Still nothing that impressed.

Works very well for me, Thank you. This 'book' helped me to enhance my psychyc intuition and Esp abilty far beyond my previews level.

Sounds good but can't tell if it really work now

This program is also advised to listen for 17 days for best result. This is only my second day of listening and think it is good.

I can't for sure tell you now if it really works since I haven't got any psychic intuition yet. :)

Time will tell. Yes I am a sucker too, or am I? You have to believe this stuff works for it to be your cup of tea. I also don't mind purchasing something the helps me learn to meditate. Although this is a challenge, if a wrong note hits you at the right time. This audio book often does with its unique beats. I reserve my judgement till I learn more, maybe the next book will be better understood if I let it.

What would have made it better? Some content, not just the clanging of tubular bells and the sound if running water.The vocal content sounded like Barry White being muffled through a thick woollen sock.Absolute rubbish.And that was limited to a few phrases.Just constant dinging and donging of bells, which are not relaxing at all.More annoying than anything.

Which scene was your favorite?

There's only 4 chapters with Ch 1 as the Subliminal instructions. The subliminal messages are in Ch 2 but NOT Ch 3 or 4.The FULL version on iTunes are broken up into 12 chapters and the running time is at least Doubled! Worse... the cost was almost the SAME!Only Ch 2 will help with the subliminal messages which is basically a deep whispering on top of the music in various spots. Ch 3 & 4 contains light music for you to fall asleep to.Spent a few days listening only to Ch 2 and finally able to fall asleep. Sad part is that my internal body rhythm has me waking up early ~6-6:30a every day so I can't just sleep in. Have to wake up first then fall back asleep on the weekends.At least I can doze off slightly better now.

What disappointed you about Deep Sleep Deep Relaxation Subliminal?

I am no stranger to hypnotic, subliminal relaxation, but this is the most horrid and frightening voice and 'music' I have ever heard!. Seriously frightening to hear this narrator's maniacal voice. I had my husband listen to it and he had nightmares! Had my 12 yr. old son listen to a few minutes of it to see if I was imagining things, and ended up having to let him watch an extra 1/2 hr. of TV to get it out of his head.

What was most disappointing about Subliminal Hypnosiss story?

It gave us nightmares! Background sounds like rain falling on concrete with a loud, annoying bell being struck repeatedly. Lonely, dark, terrifying. The maniacal voice droning on in a creepy tone. Seriously creepy! I know this is my 'visual' of the sounds, but there is nothing else to compare them to. I tried a Tibetan Monastery in the rain...nope. Beautiful sounds in a mountain cabin with rain...no. Just lonely sounds from a deserted shipyard on Elm Street, where you're being hunted by Freddy.

At first I thought it had to be a joke, but no, it went on and on like a scene from a slasher movie.

wow this works really well

I bought this at the end of july and was off unemployment and back to making money by the beginning of september. I listened every day for 21 days and then still occasionally after that, and now I make more money than I ever have, and I work for myself! I heard others were annoyed by his voice, but I think it is worth getting used to it, and also that it isn't so bad. His voice is actually nice you just have to get used to the 'hypnosisy" way he talks.

I found the narrator's voice irritating. The 7th or 8th track sounds like white noise and just woke me up. I am unhappy with this purchase.

I would recommend this to a friend, but in a different format. You are not able to play a select on a loop or even the entire recording. This makes a purchase in this format a waste as particular selections are designed to be played on a loop while sleeping. I have had to make purchase elsewhere in a suitable format that can play on a loop setting.

Recording needs 2 tracks

What made the experience of listening to Get a Good Night's Sleep the most enjoyable?

It helps me sleep. It works! Better than herbal tea that keeps my bladder full.

Audible should have kept or put this in 2 tracks. The first 6 minutes are the introduction, which only needs to be heard once or twice. The rest should be heard every night for at least three weeks. If it were in two tracks the intro could be skipped after the first time without the inconvenience of trying to find it with fast forward. I tried to edit it, but Audible's proprietary format or codec prevented this otherwise simple procedure.

Her voice is very very soothing the back ground sound is in-sync with the women's voice.

My brother was having consecutive surgery for a week. As you can imagine the pain was excruciating. He was on a pump pain control and other medication to monitor the pain. The pain killers weren't enough I was afraid the Dr.s would give him more sedatives. So I remember how meditation had helped control pain in the past. I asked my brother to breath and concentrate on the voice he was about to listen. He like everyone else was upset and skeptical. I turned off the lights and told him to just give it a try. It worked like a charm. Next thing you know he was asking me to play it again. I highly recommend this audio book

"Easy Sleep" is aptly named.

The first time I played this, I did sleep well, but it ended with the standard loud Audible tag at the end ("Audible hopes you enjoyed this program."), which is a bummer at the end of something that is SUPPOSED to help you get to sleep! However, I told my daughter about it anyway since she also suffers insomnia, because despite that little jolt at the end, it did help a lot. My husband was also in the room when I told her about this one drawback, and he told me there is a way to fix the problem!

Once your copy of "Easy Sleep" is in iTunes, right-click on it and select "Get Info". Then pick "Options" along the top bar. In the Options window, you may select a start and stop time for the book! I was able to cut off the loud disturbing Audible tags. Then I reloaded it into my iPod, and it plays and ends quietly now! Once again my hero comes to the rescue!

"Easy Sleep" is a helpful program and definitely worth the price, at least for me. If you are having a hard time sleeping, give it a try.

I listen to this nearly every night. Sometimes I have to play it twice before I fall asleep...just depends on how crazy the day has been.

too short, Maggie's voice is too strong

My first comment is that since I have difficulties falling asleep, 13 mn go way too fast for me to have time to fall asleep. I found Maggie's voice a bit too hard. Also I would have liked her to leave more time in between words (and the audio would be longer with the same amount of words). Also at the end of the audio, I guess it is done on purpose, but I can barely hear the words...

It is not a bad session, but for me, it doesn't do the job.

I haven't had any trouble falling asleep since I started listening to it at night, after years of struggle. Short and effective.
