Not just what I expected....
I actually got this book as part of a buy oneget one free promotion, so I am not entirely dissapointed by it since I didn't actually paid for it.
The story had potential. I like angels and demons themed books, good vrs evil sort of thing, but after reading I have a feeling the author didn't took her time to develop more her characters. There are few things we know about Meridian, just that she things she is a weird teenager with weird things happening to her, and we know even less about the male character, Tens, so it kind of left me wanting to know more about them, wanting to really love and like what they were doing.
I get that the book needed the bible verses to focus the story, but come on they are so many of them I felt like I was back at sunday bible school all over again.
At the end I felt that everything resolved to quickly, they got all the help they neeeded and left me wondering how??? ..... plus they fall in love pretty fast too. A little more story developing and the book might had just been better.
Finally a book with Angels in it that I like...
POTENTIAL SPOILERS
There are quite a few angel-inspired books out there, and most of the ones I've read don't end happily. I'm glad to say that although not everything is happy in this book, I wasn't left with a heart-crushing ending. There was definitely a lot of hope for the main character. Also, I like that it was a good, satisfying ending that left room for sequels, but I wasn't left with a cliffhanger. Read too many books lately where I want to scream at the lack of resolution (especially when it takes a year for the next book to come out). Looking forward to more from this author.

This story isn't bad ...but it's not great either. It was good in that it kept me wanting to read and find out what was happening next but it wasn't a true page turner. And if there's anyone out there like me that doesn't like to read about dying animals... well, there are a couple of scenes in this story that may not go over too well. Another problem I had was the romance between Tens & Meridian. It came out of nowhere. Initally I thought maybe the fast romance had something to do with Tens dreams of Meridian but after the dreams were explained that idea went out the window.
