This is what i am talking about!
Finally this book has had some action. It is by far THE BEST out of the three installments I have read. I liked all the twist and turns; I liked the new characters specially Pavia. I liked the new realization on Kira's part regarding her love interest, and I really liked the way it ended. Not a cliffhanger but knowing that there is another story to come. And of course it is the last one and the one I am about to start as soon as I finish this review.
But, continuing with Kira's change of heart, sometimes, It is very difficult to realize and finally convince yourself that what you want it is not what you need and vice versa. I am pretty sure it has happened to many of us. Sometimes mind and heart are sync, but suddenly, when you start looking around, at your priorities, your life, and you see the big picture and feeling out of sorts for no particular reason...what do you do?...you begin questioning yourself. And this is exactly what has happened to Kira, she finally understands, that as much as she wants to be with Tristan, as much as she loves him, both their lives are against all odds. It is a very hard decision to make. You look around for all the possible outcomes, but there is no way out.
Unfortunately, I already know how it ends because I don't know why people keep disclosing the ending and part of the stories from books in their reviews. Even if they write ***SPOILER ALERT*** it shouldn't be allowed because it really ruins it for everybody, both the author and the reader.
However, this was the turn I was waiting for in the story, something that keep me interested in what will happened, and not I will finish the series just because I have already started reading it.
Again, this is by far, the best book of the series. I hope, hope and hope "Scorch" is as good as this one, for the author to vindicate herself, and of course, for the series to close with a round of applause.

This series has gotten better and better with each book and I felt that this book was the best one in the series so far.
I saw one review that gave this book a really horrible rating and told every single thing that happened. I have never gone that route and I never will. Where's the fun in reading a book if you already know the ending, it's like watching a movie with someone sitting beside telling you what's gonna happen next. I'm really glad that I didn't read that review before reading this book because while yes the OCD in me would still have made me read it, the element of shock, sorrow and surprise would have been gone.
