I'm here for it! Today is the day that the Biden - Harris administration takes office. In 2009 I had the pleasure of covering the inauguration of the first Black President of the United States. In 2021 we usher in a new feat. While congratulations are in order for Joe Biden, today we applaud the first black female Vice President of the United State. Those two words mean so much for millions. There is no secret as to how Donald Trump ended up in the white house. Even though Hillary Clinton was a better candidate on the books she was a woman! Today a woman, a black woman will officially hold one of the highest positions of power in the Untied States opening the door for equality in leadership and ethnic diversity. So we hope! Hopefully this will lead to equality in pay in the workplace. Due to a number of challenges our team will not be able to cover the 2021 inauguration live

I wish I could express a little more enthusiasm. The first week of the year has been very interesting. Proud boys stormed the Capitol in Washington, DC in hopes to .... Who knows? I am not sure that 2021 is going to bring us any relief. I had an opportunity to go outside nine months of restricted movement. It was awesome and scary. I enjoyed dancing and sharing memories with old friends while showing new ones the beauty of my island. It was great until it wasn't. We are in the middle of a pandemic trying to hold on to a semblance of normalcy. This episode is all about the music. We kick off with Uncle Murda's annual end of year "Rap Up". A little Latin music, Hip-hop and Dancehall. Just energy to move us from one emotion to another. Enjoy our mix.
