Another great book Pro Act safety

Great book on safety strategy

This book is the next step (or STEP) in safety strategy development. While their book STEPS lays out all of these concepts, it is also dense with information and requires some time to digest. This book is an easy read and really probes at the âWhyâ question. Many people look for easy answers on safety. There arenât any but this book provides you with the questions that should be asked. When faced with thinking about strategy, safety professionals have had to translate/try to interpret externally focused books into what they are working on. This book has specifically focused on safety strategy and provides great guidance to build on.

Managerial Motivation

This is an in-depth audio presentation about employee engagement and its importance in a successful business. It is informative and well-researched, and the message is valuable. The author reads the material herself and does a pretty good job. I listened at regular speed, though I usually bump up audiobooks to 1.25 because most narrators speak a bit more slowly than conversation speed to take care with enunciation. Jill Christensen, however, reads pretty clearly at conversation speed (or at least the speed at which one delivers information in a setting like this), so 1.25 does make it feel too rushed. I can tell she isn't one of those professional marketing fake cheerleader types who are proficient in BS and who might have done a slightly better job at the delivery of lines, but frankly, that makes me like her more. (Super perky people, like clowns, have their uses and place in society, but I can't help that they just creep me out.)

Overall, this is a well-written, well-delivered, well-recorded, easy-to-follow, informative audiobook that is worth the time it takes to listen.

I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review. The number of stars is based on where I believe this audiobook rates with other audiobooks of the same type, length and general feel-- not where it rates in comparison to all audiobooks of all time.

Great Information

On how to motivate and communicate effectively with employees to get the best from them and make them feel invested in the company. I liked her take on leader vs. individual contributor and her four steps to increasing employee engagement. The use of champ and some of her examples were a little condescending but, overall, she gets to the point, stays on task and gives concrete ways you can use her material. I thought it was well done. I did listen on 1.5 speed as I usually do.

I received this audiobook for free through Audiobook Boom! and am leaving honest feedback about the quality of the material.

Well worth listening.

Jill's book is full of very sensible and valuable guidance for anyone in the corporate setting. It is well organized and relevant for today's workplace.
