Child abuse, religion and murder
Child abuse, religion and murder. Stand-alone that is sometimes difficult to follow due to formatting issues. There is violence. It is heavy on religion.
Not all questions are answered. It ends on a sad but realistic note. Good people are murdered in the name of Justice.
Intriguing storyline that is easy to believe. It focuses on the behind the scenes machinations and perversion of law enforcement and, in turn the legal system. Procedures, actions and reactions are not realistic.
The characters are believable with distinct personalities. The dialogue is thought-provoking.
No desire to re-read this story. I may be interested in other works by this author.
Another winner
Tragedy strikes as a 13 year old boy opens fire on a group of 10 and 11 year old bots playing baseball. Several bots and a coach are killed.
In a story which has become all to common, James Scott Bell weaves in a determined young defence lawyer who rides a Harley, and her investigator friend. These two take on the system and uncover a conspiracy. As always, there is a lot of action, and a lit if truth in a novel written by Bell. I am currently reading my way through all his books and enjoying every one.
There is much to ponder in each book besides a rousing tale. I appreciate the thoughtfulness that he puts into each story.
Sins of the Fathers
A very fast paced story. Believable good and bad people, actions and the reasons for horrible things happening in many lives today. I couldn't stop reading until all the pieces of the story were tied together. Lots of mystery and suspense!
Over the top excellent read.
This was my third book in a row by James Scott Bell. All were equally good reading. Great writing style.
fantastic! JSB is so gifted!
Every time I think I've read my favorite James Scott Bell novel, I read another and I'm blown away again! So many intricacies woven masterfully together. How would your faith in God hold up if your only child was gunned down? Or how would you feel towards the feisty Harley riding defense attorney defending his killer? Is their grace enough to overcome? Or could you go on as said lawyer being the only one who believes the murderer deserves to be defended? Or are you the prosecutor who has lost sight of God amidst success and ambition? So well written!
