My 3 year old loves Tingle Dingle!
Where does Tingle Dingle and the Treasure Tree rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
It's nearly impossible to rank audio books in general; they're all so different and I'm seeking vastly different experiences from each. I do have my favorite narrators and my favorite authors but they don't necessarily coincide (my favorite narrators don't necessarily narrate my favorite books...). That being said, this book is great for kids and my son asks to listen to Tingle Dingle routinely when he's trying to fall asleep.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I really liked the aunt and the mother...those voices were incredibly soothing, particularly juxtaposed to the voices of the children.
What about Lily Partridges performance did you like?
Her voice can be so, so soothing...reminds me of Bob Ross ("happy little trees") or an NPR personality. Honestly she could narrate a meditation audiobook - her voice is like butter.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, we listen to it in pieces. But that being said, we've listed to it in it's entirety many times.
Any additional comments?
I do recommend this book to young readers and for even younger children who cannot yet read. Thank you Audio Book Boom, Michelle Dry, and Lily Partridge for this complimentary book in exchange for my fair and unbiased review.
Discover a treasure that is more precious than gold.
Are you ready for an adventure? Join whimsical tingle tingle and her adventuresome family as a journey to a land of giants, home to a treasure tree that would make even the most Marxist economist trade in his university tenureship.
This book gives some basic but essential etiquette for navigating your way through the land of giants without getting eaten! Just kidding! Giants are far more interested in eating onions then they are interested in eating fart flavored children.
This was a fun little story narrated by a British lady whose accent didn't even annoy me!
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Charming tale
This was a charming story for young children. It weaves together so many elements which are near to a child's heart: fantasy coming to life, travel, giants, treasure, and farts. It's sure to delight the young ones.
The best part was the narration. I've listened to many podcasts and audiobooks with my kids. I've heard great narrators save dull tales and dull narrators ruin great tales. This was a very good narrator with just the right amount of enthusiasm and fun voices.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
