Darling!

A cute story. Well performed. Good for kids of all ages, but especially young ones.

Little laughs throughout

Would you consider the audio edition of The King's Taster to be better than the print version?

The only thing you miss in the print, is the unique and beautiful illustrations. Otherwise, great in audio.

Which character as performed by Fred Berman was your favorite?

Lovely story and pictures

My parents read this to me as a child and I was excited to read it to my daughter, too. She's only 2-and-a-half, but she loves to look at the pictures and hear about the camping trip. I grew up canoe-camping, and hope to take my daughter someday, so this is a very special book to me. It reminds me of lots of our family trips!

I remembered this from Reading Rainbow, when I was a kid

I was psyched to see this on the CA reading list. I like the illustrations and the story is nice. My son enjoyed it as well. It was nice to share something from my childhood with him.

Best books

My son loves these books! He loves reading these books out loud to me!

They are great AR books as, well.

Rylant is the best for beginnning readers

Rylant is a great writer for children and relates well to the beginning reader, with sympathetic stories. Her Mr Putter stories are also wonderful.They give a wonderful view of older folks in the community, and are funny.

Great book in series

Used this book to teach a writing craft lesson on describing characters to second graders. Was a very appropriate book for age level and taught the concept wonderfully

An instant classic

Great for early readers who are past the phonics books. The story is fun, the lessons are not heavy-handed, and the books are loved by both eager readers and struggling readers.

This is one of my go-to books for giving out at the Reading to Dogs program
