I loved this!

Im a grandma with grandkids of various ages. This has something for all of them. The background music and sounds are very well done and Randy Travis is a perfect choice for reading the story!

It is a very funny and illustrative book. My son loved it! The music make it even better.

I've been reading this book to my foster toddlers & now my adopted child. I loved it before & now with audible it's even more delightful! The narrator is incredible as is the man ducal backdrop.

I have two young boys, 18 months and 4 years, and we often listen to stories together in the car. This story has been on repeat many times. I believe I could recite the entire story by heart. My youngest often asks for it in the car by moooing. I am not a huge fan of the country sound of the author, but the boys love it, and it definitely goes with the farm theme of the book. Overall, an adorable short story for the kiddos that has them mooing along in the car!

Short but Fun

I listen to Audible with my granddaughter. Some children's books don't translate well to audio. This one does thanks to Vanessa Williams. The story is Bad Kitty with Christmas spirit thrown in. We like it!

Weird gaps in recording

The recording has at least a dozen weird gaps where the recording stops and starts again a couple seconds later. Splitting hairs, but it is weird to listen to on a cell phone bc it makes you check for an incoming call or text when the sound stops. It is never mid sentence though. Otherwise great enthusiasm and subtle humor in performance.

Who doesn't love Dr. Seuss?

Who doesn't love Dr Seuss? (Well, maybe Grinches.)

I was so excited when I saw that there were new stories out there that I got the audiobook from Audible. (The different celebrity narrators didn't hurt either.)

The stories had all the elements you came to expect in a Dr. Seuss story. The delightful rhymes, the peculiar situations, the strange animals, and the wonderful endings.

The commentary by the "finder" of the stories was also a treat. His description of what educators thought about how children learn words was so ludicrous I found it hard to think anyone felt that way.

So hard to read is The Bippolo Seed

For the most part the reading is very good, but there are a number of times where the intended cadence is broken due to the odd mid-sentence changes in what was intended. These changes, to me, are one of the unusual and interesting features of Dr. Seuss's writing, so I was disappointed to hear them missed at times.

It may not bother most people though, and despite that issue I still give it a high overall performance score.

My 8 year old son, who is almost always reluctant to read or be read to, actually asked to listen to Alvin Ho DAILY! We enjoyed the first narrator a lot more than the one who read books 3 and 4. Nothing bad about the second narrator... we just got hooked on the first one.

Great writing and narration!

My son and I both love these books. We have listen to them several times which is saying a lot because I hardly ever listen to a hook more than once. Book 4 is particularly hilarious. These books are wonderfully zany and delightful.

I loved these books because they are well written and funny. My kids loved the audio because it was narrated by a kid, and it really makes for a fun listen!

My Boys Loved Alvin Ho

My 4 & 6 year old loved Alvin Ho. They are sad we've listened to them all.

A Hit With the Kids

Ok, so I was torn on getting this book because of the mixed reviews I had read on it. I did though, and do not regret it. My children love this neurotic kid. We have been listening to this story every night and they adore it. We joke about our own PDK's (if you read the book you'll understand), and how his decisions affect him. This series has been a great hit. Not one of our favorites, but definitely worth the time.

Good stories, too expensive though

I liked books 2 through 7 in the Clementine series more than the first one. I have to admit, they are pretty good. My daughter loved them and I eventually warmed up to them.

What I did not warm to was the price. Each book is about two hours long, but they are priced the same as much longer books. That doesnt seem fair.

If they were sold in bundles of 3 or maybe even 2 stories I would be good with that. But at one credit per book, I will return them, get my credits back, and get longer books for my kids. Maybe if this series goes on sale, Ill re-buy them then.

The Family Meeting sign is up!

What did you like best about this story?

I really like the idea of a Family Meeting sign that is posted on the refrigerator. Everyone knows and the meeting is after dinner. Hmm. Maybe I will implement that in my household! Clementine is the funniest child. We love her antics. In this book she worries about another child coming into the family. Charming!

Have you listened to any of Jessica Almasys other performances before? How does this one compare?

I really like her narration. This book narration is starting to sound different. I am not sure why. It might be the production or it might be Jessica's voice has changed. I am not sure. This story is starting to be read too fast. A bit slower would be more enjoyable.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! Full of fun.

For reasons I do not understand, some of these books are listed as Sarah Pennypacker and others are Sara Pennypacker. Make sure you see all 6 books when you search for Clementine. While not exactly critical, it is helpful to listen in order. First is Clementine, second is The Talented Clementine, 3rd - Clementine's Letter, 4th - Friend of the Week, 5th - Family Meeting, 6th - Spring Trip.

Audible? Could we have a correction on the author's name and a View Series to link these books together? That is the only thing that would improve the whole book.

Great book for reluctant readers

My 7 year old son is not an enthusiastic reader; however, when he started to read this book, he could not put it down. He was laughing uncontrollably and could not wait to read it each night.
