Dragonscale attire makes you fireproof!
The joy of reading this first and foremost is because I know the author. Timâs infectious smile, wink and laughter carry throughout the book, even through intense scenes of dragon-fed destruction, death and suspense. The action is fast-paced and global, with scenes in China, South America, California, Romania and New Zealand to name a few all in the first couple of chapters.
The most satisfying part of the novel is learning of the relationships of the Drake family. Three generations of dragon-fighting fearless men and women allow us into their world where doing the right thing bonds the family together. So itâs a book the whole family can read -well at least from junior high up- under that may be a little concern due to some of the violence (which is not constant I would say).
If you have family that have been in our nationâs wars, then this could be especially meaningful for you if you share with others in the family.
Truly a fun and enjoyable experience!
Well Written, Family Friendly Adventure

The Dragon King is a well written,suspenseful and a all around satisfying read. I couldnât put the book down!!
The characters were well developed and likable.
As the mother of 2 young adult readers, it is hard to find an adventure book with age appropriate content and The Dragon King Gets the âFamily Friendly stamp of approvalâ. Tim Scottâs first Drake Family adventure is worth the read.
I canât wait to see what the Drake Family is up to next!!
Masterfully written
Tim Scottâs writing is absolutely masterful! I donât usually read this genre, but the Dragon King is a phenomenal read. The suspense kept me turning the pages late into the night and I will be eagerly awaiting the sequel. I would highly recommend this book to any reader who appreciates well written intelligent stories that are family friendly and engaging. It is one of the best fiction books Iâve ever read!
Great read for both adults and kids!
What a genius concept! My 8 year old son, who is in the 3rd grade, looked forward to reading the Dragon King with me each night. It is written in a way he could understand and he was able to follow the storyline easily. With dragons, world travel, and family secrets there is plenty of material to keep both of us excited about reading this as a part of the bedtime routine. I'm hoping for a sequel!
If you like action and adventure, and are in the mood for a fun story from start to finish, then this is the book for you!
I am a voracious reader, and I loved every minute of this book. It is an exciting, action-packed, family friendly read, and I dare you not to fall in love with every member of the Drake family! I already purchased a second copy to give as a gift, and canât wait for the sequel!
