I'm doing this book as a bible study and wanted to listen to it as well. His book is great. My biggest complaint is the tone and inflection of the reader; it was very blah to me. I will listen to this book again!

Judgemental

This failed to provide any real analysis or new insight into biblical bad girls. I felt it was a judgmental take on the women recorded for they're wickedness that failed to examine their pitfalls or strengths. Instead it's a few Bible verses and that's it.

Outstanding Research, Nice Presentation

Where does Why They Changed the Bible rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

This book was carefully researched and very well written. The author was able to explain his experiences in a carefully thought out and organized way. This may have been because he was a trained in languages and well educated but do not let that intimidate the average reader. I am an average reader and I was able to follow him and the story line was understandable.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Why They Changed the Bible?

The personal experience that the author recalled worked well to help explain the process of the long term problem and it supported the evidence of why and how they changed Bibles. Disclaimer, we might be related by way of the same Pilgrim, not sure.

What does David W. Daniels bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

The authors sincerity and passion for his work came through in his voice and I believe I got an even better feel for the accuracy of the information. I was skeptical about the extent of the problem (which seems to have bloomed into a mushroom by now) but I knew there was agenda. Since I was not able to attend the schools and organizations he had, I could never have put the pieces together without this book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Generally the author expressed his love for God and a willingness to take the time to research the story as well as stand up for the truth. Certainly the argument that God's word is divine and should never be manipulated by easily identifiable non-believers or persons with an agenda is alarming and deserves a careful review and full exposure.

Any additional comments?

This book is read in a way that sharp high school students can understand and enjoy as well as benefit from.

A Case for Kingdom unity

At a time when division within the body remains, but many denominational walls are coming down, this book is a call back to unity and understanding of ways that are different and often misunderstood in light of our own religious Idiosyncrasies. This work calls us back to loving one another, and the Unity that Christ requires. The author writes from both the Orthodox and Evangelical perspectives, explaining many misconceptions and assumptions that we make about our more orthodox siblings in Christ, mostly Catholics. In doing so the author does a great job in stripping the body of Christ, of a filthy stain, that of pride, predjudice and division within our own family. A good book for the body of Christ where religious theology is still an excuse for everything that destroys the body of Christ, and stands against Christlike love. In many ways an accademic work, but written so as anyone can understand and say the, "Ahha!"

Brilliant

Dr. Corbett is a former professor of mine, who has always had this amazing ability to synthesize and explain even the most difficult of subjects. I was absolutely delighted then to stumble across this particular audiobook. He not only does a fine job himself of reading the text, but explaining difficult concepts that are as fascinating as they are thought provoking! This is certainly an audiobook that I will be listening too again and again.

A book of substance.

I am normally wary of small religious books because they often ramble in Christianese without much content. But The Restoration Project uses the physical restoration of Leonardo DaVinci's Last Supper as a framework for the presentation of St. Benedict's twelve steps of humility with the intent of infusing new life into the Christian movement in the 21st century. It suggests the establishment of Discipleship groups that use adaptations of St. Benedicts steps to refresh "The Way" in the present. At the end, it suggests a format for the conduct of regular Discipleship Group meetings. I found it had substance and is well worth reading.

Getting back to the daily spiritual life.

I am glad I ordered this book. It helps to get people to think about living a spiritual lifestyle daily. We all need to be reminded that spirituality is not just for Sundays and holidays. I recommend this book for anyone who wants more life on a daily basis. We can live out our faith sometimes by the minute.

Excellent! Inspiring...!

I LOVED this book. I had to force myself to put it down and do other things. So many other books of this sort make me feel like I have to be someone special or be doing something special to be used by God. Not this one! The book follows the life of 'just' a man who wanted to follow God. He listened and did what he was told.

God did the rest. When 'man' or adversity got in the way of Gods plans, Bill regrouped with God and moved forward. I loved that! He never gave up through so much! What an amazing life story and legacy! And it is still going strong. We are all called and equipped to do the same. We just need to yield to God. I know that for sure after reading this book. The calling starts in the everyday things! I bought 4 printed copies to share, too life changing not too.

Bill Easter's journey will leave you hungering for God to use you, too!
