Editorial Reviews:
Danny Anderson, 15, discovers that freedom from his mum is not the same as freedom from fear in a fast-paced thriller of mystery, deception, murder, and redemption.
Colin Moody, veteran of Australian stage productions and television, captures the scousisms (accent and attitude) of a true Liverpudlian in his performance of Mark Roberts work, which was short-listed for Britains prestigious 2005 Angus Book Award for young adult novels. Tension begins when, four hours after his last fight with his mother, Danny is picked up by a 19-year-old flush with money and success. It never lets up as people begin to die along a wild road trip through the English countryside, and identifying hero from villain becomes increasingly complex.

Fast pace Teen Story Audio unabridged 6cds
Danny 16 years old, runs away from home after a huge row with his Mum. He would be happy to never see her face again. Dad left years ago with another woman and moved to France so he is totally out of Danny's life also.
After 4 hours of being on the run everything he owns is stolen at a motorway service statioin. He is approached by Luke a 19 year old smooth talking young man who suggested that he give Danny a lift. On the way Luke explains he is making a video diary. Luke has a huge car and plenty of money. Danny thinks this is the life good friend and freedom. But Luke is not what he seems and everywhere they go a mysterious death happens. Then the next day another death happens. You've never sure who is the hero and who is the villain. Danny is starting slowly to doubt the increasingly psychotic Luke.
Fast pace easy read. I was a little disappointed in the ending. I felt it was cut short. I would recommend this action packed mystery to any teen or adult.
Good Read
Perfect summer read. Book is about a young man that has to learn to trust his instincts when he meets a mysterious stranger. Can things seem too good to be true? Can you be sure about the intentions of someone you just met? How much does friendship mean in the scheme of growing up and life discovery? It is a "grass is always greener" story that makes you root for the boy, but question your feelings over and over again. Loved it!
