Not a good book to *listen* to.

I was hoping to get a bit of C++ Review for an upcoming exam, but this is definitely not a book to simply *listen* to. The narrator reads to code out loud, which is nice, but it would seem that no one informed him of the proper pronunciation of certain keywords in the C++ language.

It was actually a bit entertaining the first three times he read the keyword "cout" (which is pronounced "see-out" short for console out because it's printing the words to the console, or the screen). First he read it as "court" then "cow-t" then spelled it out "c o u t."

Also, the whole thing seems to not have been edited because there are a few spots where the narrator starts reading but I guess he felt he messed up and started the sentence over.

Overall, a bit unprofessional. Decent information, but not really enough to become a "boss" as advertised.

I completely enjoyed learning so much about C++. This is the beginning of learning coding and programming. My sister and niece will love to have this book for sure as well. Sharing it. A good for beginning!

Great book for learning C++

According to the book, C++ is relatively easy to learn. The book contains quizzes that help you to practice what you learn, which is great. The book can be technical at times, e.g. where it talks about constants and the various types of literals. However, there is a gradual progression of learning, so it isnt too difficult to get your head around the basics. In short, if you didnt know anything about C++ before, you will by the time you finish listening this book. It also provides many examples to help you follow the lessons easily. Definitely, this book is highly recommended!

An absolute beginner's reference to learn and be proficient in data analytics. With this book I learned the importance of data analysis, its benefits that it could give and how to conduct a data analytics in the business. The guide to learning Python from scratch were accurate enough to provide an idea of its history. All the fundamentals needed were even explained well. It also provides the guide on how you can set up the IDE to get you started with practicing coding Python. There are some example codes as well that I tried out for better understanding.

I was reluctant to get a programming guide audiobook because I wasn't sure whether the content was something that would translate into audio alone. But I figured that they wouldn't have made it into an audiobook unless it worked. I was very wrong. The narrator basically reads code to you (e.g., "open parenthesis, underscore, newline,...").

Learned a ton from this bundle. Very happy I decided to give a go. Always wanted to learn more about Linux and python programming. Lots of helpful tips and strategies throughout this one. Narration was on point. Easy to follow along to and implement.

perfect comprehensive hacking

The instructions provided by this book come with a print screen and are very well explained, so it's quite easy to follow them even though you have no previous hacking experience.i highly recomended this book.

A good book...

I have read a lot of books about hacking already and this one is slightly different from the rest. i think it was not actually about hacking as the title suggests. Rather it teaches the reader about Python Programming. The basics about Python programming was presented as well as some samples of programs were provided. I was actually trying to summarize the program provided in order for me to try it one time - summarize means minus the explanation so I can better understand the sequence. Not a technical person here except that my curiosity and interest to programming that keeps me wanting to read such book.

I've been delivering data integration solutions for decades but I only recently started working with Hadoop. McKnight's and Dolezal's book is very helpful for people using any data integration technology. The language is for executives, directors, managers, and practitioners interested in learning (or learning more) about the oft-overlooked topic of data integration. As I often tell people, "You can't do Big Data without... data." The data required for modern analytics projects is rarely stored nearby. Data must be collected, transformed (shaped, cleansed, "munged"), and loaded "near" modern processing engines; whether they reside on premises or (increasingly) in the cloud.

Integrating Hadoop is peek behind the curtain of data integration - not just data integration for big data and Hadoop projects.

The first three chapters ("Hadoop in Support of an Information Strategy," "Preparing for Integration," and "ETL versus ELT") should be required reading for anyone learning data integration. McKnight, who has written previously about information technology, data, and strategy (https://www.amazon.com/William-McKnight/e/B002QLXASK/), is a thought leader in data strategy.

The best 'summary' book I have heard

I have bought several "summary" books here and soured on many. Sometimes the writer seems lazy, or otherwise mediocre. I am happy to report, here, I can tell this writer really dug into the book and composed this writing well, to bring up some useful and interesting bits, and give the listener a glimpse into this fascinating book. I have the full-length audiobook and am very avid to hear it all now. The puzzles posed by these algorithms are very absorbing.
