Wow! I've worked my way back to the oldest recordings and find them, surprisingly, exceptional. David Hawkins is clear, articulate and easy to understand. This language is easy to follow from a worldly, intellectual perspective.

He also provides a fantastic definition of what spiritual work really is.

Much comfort in difficult times

If you are a Christian, and you're going through a difficult trial, I would recommend this book. I found much comfort here. I've no doubt that I will listen to this book again and again. I own a few of this author's books, and found them all to be very comforting. Glad to have found one of her books available in audio. The narrator was very good, diction was perfect, and her voice - comforting. Can't say enough good things about this one!

This is the perfect handbook to read if you are an athlete looking to do your best in your sport and in life! It is easy to read, and loaded with the principles and lessons needed for becoming a quality athlete. The author encourages the athlete to reflect and gives step-by-step instructions for building their dream. My personal favorite sections are the chapters on character, integrity and cheating. As Kirk Mango says, " If you don't follow the rules of the game, you haven't played the game". As a parent, these are lessons I would like instilled in my children on and off the field. While this book is geared toward young athletes, I wish every parent and coach at the club, high school and college level would read it as well. Our young athletes need our support, encouragement and most of all, our good example.

Somewhat of an ego-boost book for the author

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Not really. Mr. Fox has good information on basic people skills, but I didn't feel like I really got any secrets out of the book. I felt like I was just listening to grandpa talk about his amazing life, and how amazing he's been throughout. There's other books out there that share a little more insight and true blue psychology. I respect the success it sounds like Mr. Fox has enjoyed over the years, but this book seems to be an ego boost and possibly a money grab.

Dale Carnagie on steroids.... I think not...

Not the Voice I needed to hear

Would you try another book from Max Strom and/or Kurt Elftmann?

I would only listen to another Max Strom book if he read it. I was very disappointed in this book by the readers voice and his mechanical reading. After listening to Max's first book, A Life Worth Breathing,(highly recommend) where I found his voice soothing, like a good yoga class and I was mesmerized. I purchased this book in part because of the way I felt while listening to the book. Whoever is reading this book, SHOULD never be used to read a this style of book, as he elicits a very different feeling. So much so I am returning the book! I could not get past this abrasive, non-emoting voice! It is off my list and library!!!!!

Great book!

Very sound advice, backed by true stories, quotes and the author's humor. Applying these ten rules will definitely impact your life and make you a much better person. I enjoyed listening to this, the narrator has an easy voice, and the author gets to the point in a way that makes the listener say to herself "yes I can do this and yes I want to do this!".

I have chanted all the rules everyday since I downloaded and boy, it has helped already . Yes, it is work to make a plan for each rule, so by chanting, I at least start will all the clues of a good life everyday. The plan will come if you are a get it done person. If you procrastinate, not so sure.

What would have made Rumi better?

The drum and music distract from the beautiful poetry of Rumi. The reading lacks a spiritual tone and thus is not inspiring. Sounds like an attempt to make an appeal to toughen men rather than embracing the experience of oneness. and love

no..not a reading, though I appreciate his intellectual discussions of Rumi's poetry.

The reading of Eastern poetry is too Americanized and sounds like a pep talk. Don't believe I could recommend to anyone wanting to understand Rumi.
