    Publisher's Summary:
Susie is off this week. Meanwhile, she'd like you to enjoy this show from 2010.
On today's show, you'll meet a transgendered listener in our "Tell Me Your Sex Story" segment. Susie and "Allie" talk about what it was like growing up as a male and then transitioning to female. This very frank discussion covers how her orgasms changed when she went from penis to clit, how her libido disappeared during hormone-replacement therapy, and what it was like to feel sexual as she changed genders.
Next, Susie takes you into the world of futurist sex. Does sci-fi have it right? Are we destined to separate from our urgings and assume a more perfect, robotic, sexless self? Susie reads from an article that argues that even though sex is satisfying for our bodies, it really messes with our minds.
Then, it's the "Try This at Home" mailbag. A listener worries about her friend's third-grader, who openly masturbates. What's the best age to start talking to kids about sex? And what's the first thing you say?

Touched a spot for me again.
Where does In Bed with Susie Bright Encore Edition: The Transsexual Perspective: Sex as a Woman vs. Sex as a Man rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
Susie's interviews with her listeners are about 15 minutes and get down to business. They are unique compared to other programs I have encountered, the same is true of her weekly episodes in general.
I had heard this interview when originally recorded in 2010 and still took more away from the Encore.
What does Susie Bright bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
    Skilled live, nonjudgemental interview.
Whats an idea from the book that you will remember?
Memories of my own youth feelings and desire to look female but with a totally different outcome. Interesting to ponder the why. Too bad Susie can't do a phone Forum.
    Any additional comments?
I am a subscriber to all of Susie's weekly programs and have heard all 600+.
Always interesting even if the subject is out of my experience. She's a logical Lady even if I don't always agree.

    Publisher's Summary:
Susie is off this week but has a great encore show for you. She speaks with sex educator Cory Silverberg about his new book for kids: What Makes a Baby? Susie says this is a must-have for every sex-positive family. Cory's book discusses the "where do we come from" question, and he doesn't give the usual mom-and-dad or bible story. Susie and Cory talk about why most kids' books take the sugary syrupy approach to talking about sex, and they look at what kinds of families are ready for early sex education.
Next, Susie has another new audiobook to tell you about. This week's pick is Love, InshAllah: The Secret Lives of American Muslim Women, edited by Nura Maznavi and Ayesha Mattu. Romance, dating, sex, and Muslim women talking about themselves talk about taboos broken and stereotypes torpedoed! These are real-life stories that are frank and earnest. The audiobook is narrated by a multi-voice cast featuring Lameece Issaq, Lauren Fortgang, Erin Moon, Piper Goodeve, and Julia Farha, and Susie has an excerpt for you to listen to.

Wow, what a way to get rid of all those horrible aches and pains!

Susie has been following Anne's blog Truth Out, where she and Leela Corman have profiled, in comic-strip form, the problems of women in Cambodia. Susie and Anne talk about the "culture of quiet": NGO's discouraging of women from sharing their stories, because that causes shame. They also talk about alternative ways for women to make money, other than factory work or prostitution, and why celebs like Angelina Jolie champion the horror of sex trafficking.

Genres: Erotica & Sexuality, Susie Bright
    Publisher's Summary:
You've heard of Anaïs Nin, the free-spirited feminist intellectual, but have you heard of Bern Porter? Susie starts of today's show with a look at one man's wild recounting of his supposedly wild sex life with Nin. Susie found this strange story at the blog Thinking of Anais Nin (blog.anaisnin.com), where the blogger considers if Bern was making this up or really had a torrid affair. Porter Bern was a physicist turned publicist who wrote a book called I Pursue Her Still.
Next, Susie has another article to share, from Nerve.com, and this one is seriously sad, but very important: "What Terry Richardson Tells Me About the Grey Line of Consent" by Lux Alptraum. Richardson is a photographer of many celebrities and teen models. It seems he likes to have sex with everyone, allegedly whether or not they want to, and Alptraum says young careers are on the line if the girls refuse. She lays out all the unfortunate details of how damaging a rape culture, hidden as "it's part of the job", can be.
Then, it's "What's New on Audible". Susie has an audiobook anthology to share with us today: Best Bondage Erotica 2014 by Rachel Kramer Bussel and Laura Antoniou. Susie says this book is hot! It has everything you love: submission, dominance, spanking, and so much more. Lily Bask and Kyle St. James narrate the book, and Susie has a sample for you to hear.

    Length: 26 mins

    Release date: 07-04-14
Publisher: In Bed with Susie Bright
Genres: Erotica & Sexuality, Susie Bright
    Publisher's Summary:
Why is a new AIDS preventative pill under attack? Truvada has been dubbed a party drug by conservatives, who see it as an aid to continuing risky sex, rather than something to help people with HIV. Susie reads from Out magazine's article "Why I Am a Truvada Whore". This tongue-in-cheek story shows how mixed up the debate is and likens the fear of HIV protection to the 1960s-era fear of giving birth-control pills to unmarried couples.
Next, Susie found some really fun research from a UK sports sociologist. Looks like penis size really does matter in team sports. The guys in the locker room are checking each other out, and depending on cock size, they determine who has the higher standing on the team. Even better though: if a player has a gigantic dick, yet he's not that talented on the field, he still gets to remain on the team. Wow, says Susie, sports just got a little bit more interesting in a surprising way!
Then, in our "What's New on Audible" segment, Susie introduces us to another sexy must-listen. House of Sable Locks by Elizabeth Schechter is set in a mysterious brothel in London. The story uncovers the dark passions and desires of a young man from the privileged upper-crust. This book has two narrators: Pricilla Carson and Roger Frisk.

    Release date: 02-28-14
Publisher: In Bed with Susie Bright
Genres: Erotica & Sexuality, Susie Bright
    Publisher's Summary:
On today's show, Susie answers two listener letters. We'll go from talking about sex trafficking to what's so bad about being non-monogamous. Our first writer asks Susie why she has such a different take on the wrongs of sex work compared with so many other public voices. Susie happily lays out her claim that too many people manipulate the reality of sex workers. Yes, sex trafficking is criminal and one of the cruelest forms of slavery - but don't lump sex work in general into one huge, despicable ball. Susie hates to see so many people falling for slickly made videos that blur the line between prostitution and sex trafficking.
Our second letter comes from a woman who is happy to be a swinger, but her prospective husband wants her for himself alone. She has a question: Is there a way to make him "unjealous"? Susie thinks about the dynamics here: one wants to be sexually adventurous yet still be part of a solid couple. The other says this kind of sexual sharing makes him too jealous; "It's no fun for me." Wow! This is a big mismatch. Even though there is love between them, there seems to be a big difference in principals and day-to-day desires. Susie has some ideas for our listener, and you'll definitely want to hear her take on this.

Susie ponders the question of what we are supposed to think when celebrities take to the press about their family abuse. Is it about money? Is it about immortality? Or is it just more of the screwed-up lives that Hollywood produces so effortlessly? Susie has had some inside views of what produces this kind of behavior, and she spends the entire show discussing incest.
