Pitiful narration

no!!! I realize Stephen Fry (narrator of all the other Paddington talking books) is a hard act to follow but Jim Broadbents narration is so awful that I nearly switched off

a great story I really enjoyed a definite must get

This audiobook is ABRIDGED, but is labelled "unabridged" in the Audible catalogue.

Other, genuinely unabridged, versions are available,

not (alas) read by Tim Pigott-Smith.

I thought this was unabridged.

I bought this because it was supposed to be the unabridged version. It was my husband's favourite story when he was younger. There are huge chunks of the story missing. It was very disappointing and spoilt what was supposed to be a lovely surprise.

Excellent introduction to classic story for 4-5yo

This is an excellent introduction to a classic story for 4-5 year olds. The story is well abridged and fits in the 1-2 hour length that works well at this age. The narrator also does the voices for characters well. My 4.5 year old daughter and her friend have listened to this audiobook over and over again and often play 'Heidi and Clara', sometimes while listening to the story. It's a great way to be able to introduce my daughter to more complex and classic stories, although I read an extremely abridged version to her first to get her started.
