This is my third Russian-language book. For some reason, this book was much more difficult to create than the previous two. The opposite should have been the case, as it was made for those who speak and read Russian at the higher B1-B2 level; thus I had more freedom to express my ideas, and the plot could be more expressive.

In The Story Canonisation, the number of new words is much larger - around 1,000 lexemes, all from various topics - and the grammar structures are more elaborate. The issue for me was more about the life context. It was not an easy year in 2014 for Russia and Russians, no matter what their political views. It was not an easy year for me, either. It's this complexity and the ambiguousness of what happened - constantly referring to history - that I wanted to reflect upon in my book. The key goal is to help learners of the Russian language.

Moreover, there's an understanding that books nowadays should be kind, humorous, and inviting, as there is far too much negativity around us, especially in the media and on social networks. My wonderful friends and colleagues also regularly reminded me of this.

Inspired by the talent of Bulgakov, who mastered the skill of talking about complex subjects in an ironic form, I began producing this book. As in my previous books, the events unfold on the island of Guadeloupe. Banker George must "save the world", or, at the very least, help humanity. But, alongside this, the listener will learn about another main character, Professor Voensky, who had to leave Russia after the 1917 Revolution. He settled in Malta and subsequently left us something incredibly interesting and useful. I have tried my best to craft the book in several layers (for those who are in a hurry, it is useful for just practicing the most important words and grammar structures within the context).

A Great Way to Learn Russian!

I was very excited to see that this book and Story-Sensation existed. I stumbled across Story-Provocation by Mr. Dyakov by accident, and it was a very happy one. These books are a must for all students of the Russian language, whether or not they are involved in business. The stories are witty, challenging without being overwhelming, and meant for adults. There are audio versions for all the books, and these are well done, spoken slowly without sounding unnatural, humorous characters, and even sound effects! The books are informative about Russian expressions and culture, but it is done in a light, engaging way. I am learning a lot and I am thoroughly enjoying it! Thanks for a quality product.

Better Books Available

I had no problem listening to the audiobook as narrator Chris Martinez is enjoyable and it is short.

This is not something I would pay for though as it has information that isn't always accurate or provides no methodology. If I saw this book in a store, I'd flip through it for a minute and have all the information I need. Fluent Forever is a much better book that has great tips and actual methods to learn and retain your language. This book is exactly like the title says though, it's a list of tips. An enhanced Buzzfeed article is what I felt (i.e. Reading tips - comics, children's books, news articles, books, blogs.... Each one is a tip with a short explanation. I think I could've guessed those tips on my own as far as sources go.)

Nothing new that I've never heard.

I recommended Fluent in 3 Months instead. In an English teacher in Asia and I feel after listening to this, I could just write my own book telling students of tips I've come up with.

Good book to help undertand the basics of learning Dutch

If you are beginning to learn the Dutch language, then this is a good book to use as a companion to your learning. The book discusses various basic techniques to learn Dutch, along with some tips and tricks to accelerate your learning. I also enjoyed the chapter on common mistakes to avoid in learning Dutch, which I think can be applied to other languages as well. Like I said previously, this is good book to use as a companion to you Dutch learning experience. If you are a beginner, this book is for you.

I got this book in a promotion and it was really good for me. Iâm studying to learn dutch on some course that i sign in, and itâs a very hard language for me, so when i saw this book, i wanted to try it to see if it could help me to learn how to speak it faster, and it really did. Great book for BEGINNERS

This book is particularly good for learning basic words and phrases of the Dutch language. Iâve read the one star reviews, and they are unfair to the book. This book doesnât claim to be a comprehensive guide to the Dutch Language. One must learn to crawl before you can walk, and this book teaches you to do just that. You have basic pronunciation as well as your basics (numbers, letters, days, months, etc.). This book is a great beginnerâs book, just as it claims to be!

I am feeling excited to speak dutch. Great learning book

This book is very helpful. If gave me information the history of Dutch language. I found a lot of help full point on how to speak dutch. I will be speak dutch ND English to help me improve my self with dutch language. I am able to cut to 10 and no my days of the week. I know it will take me times to be able to speak dutch but with this book I am sure I will get it. I am going to call my my aunt tomorrow to try to speak to her a litter bit . Hopefully I will be able to count to her and tell her the months of the year.

What disappointed you about ULPAN IVRIT - Textbook (Lessons 1-22)?

This was probably fine in a classroom with a teacher and written materials. It is useless without those.

What could Tsipi Ben-Ami have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

It just does not work alone - but I think it was not meant to. I have studied languages for more than 50 years.

How could the performance have been better?

Slow and loud doesn't help when you do not have the vocabulary or grammer basics.
