Sen is a journalist based in Saigon, Vietnam where she covers development, culture, and human rights. She writes for the English publication VnExpress International.

We talk about many of the articles that you can read below, and the reasons why sexual abuse of children happens in Vietnam and how it is dealt with - especially in relation to the way that older people are automatically believed and respected. We also discuss what is changing to help protect children and prevent this happening.

Despite the heavy nature of the subject, we still find some light-hearted moments and it was great to see that Sen hasn't been worn down by the nature of her reporting and stays upbeat.

Tâm was the first listener-suggested guest, thanks to regular listener, Brandon Coleman. Tâm was an entertaining and interesting guest who shared in-depth story with many insights to share about life in Saigon. Evidenced by the fact this is the third most listened to episode of A Vietnam Podcast.

Born in Texas to Vietnamese refugees, Tâm moved to Saigon after a stint in Singapore. She has now returned to her hometown Houston.

In Saigon she worked at an international branding agency but soon started creating Vietnamese-Mexican dishes and hosting dinners out of her apartment, creating a closed-door restaurant named Saigonita. 

Soon Saigonita appeared in Vice Munchies and was profiled in Saigoneer so she decided to quit her corporate career to pursue her passion in food. Since then, she's been interviewed by publications in Vietnam, Singapore, the US, Italy, France; and has given a TEDx Talk.

The final guest of Season 6, Tuấn Lê, is the director of several unique cultural shows in Vietnam, including Lang Toi - My Village, À Ố Làng Phố (The ÀỐ Show)  and Teh Dar. Tuấn started his career as a solo juggler. He learned from his brother at a young age and saw it as a fun trick. Learning to juggle was just a fun thing to do as a kid, there was never an intention for this to be a pathway to a career! 

He polished his skills living in Germany and performing with Cirque du Soleil. During his time with Cirque, he became a choreographer for their Toruk show. He returned to Vietnam in 2012 and and is the co-founder and creator of Lune Productions which produces the aforementioned shows, with À Ố Làng Phố described as a global sensation by The Guardian.
