In this latest episode of Dis/Mis, Debs is joined by Tom Mills to discuss the role broadcast journalism contributes to dis- and misinformation and why the quality of individual journalists is not a guarantee of quality journalism.

Tom is a senior lecturer in sociology at Aston University, the author of the BBC Myth of a Public Service and the chair of the Media Reform Coalition.

How can we empower young people to stay alert to disinformation?

Banseka is a freelance culture and politics journalist, and she's the founder and director of Naked Politics, which is a media and educational platform for young people, focused in particular on people power and grassroots democracy.
