In part one of a two-part series, Ro Stein (one half of the artistic duo Brandt & Stein, artists on Princeless, Raven the Pirate Princess and the upcoming Steve Rogers: Captain America #10 and Champions: Monsters Unleashed) is here to discuss Disney animation of the late 80s and early 90s. Along the way, we discuss how comedic villains require extreme tonal shifts to die, the mystery that is the Black Cauldron and why it failed, and just exactly how many spikes Bart Simpson has.  Signature Cocktail: the Ninth Spike  Soothe your poor unfortunate soul with this tropical libation, and only steal what you can’t afford.  2oz bourbon 1oz amaretto 1oz simple syrup 1oz lime juice 1 dash cherry bitters 2oz ginger ale or ginger beer maraschino cherry, for garnish Combine all ingredients except ginger beer in a shaker with ice and shake until combined.
