Disney Channel Discourse

On the 15th anniversary of one of the most popular kids shows of all time, Ally and I discuss the legendary Hannah Montana, including the masterpiece pilot, the possibility that Lilly has a trans sister, what makes a car "girly," Mr. Moseby's sexuality for some reason, and stories about our first concerts. Plus a tangent about The Cheetah Girls.

This week I'm joined by fellow MWCA ensemble member and DuckTales fanatic Kaylie Heming! We break down the first two episodes of the series. I struggle to remember all the characters' names. We encounter tangents concerning potato clocks, stray cats, toothpaste. Oh, and Kaylie got her Covid vaccine about 16 minutes into the episode. Enjoy!

This week, it's a 25-minute stream-of-consciousness about my advertising sound collage project, my musical Loot the Lighthouse, the glory of the Teen Beach franchise, my excitement for MWCA, and some other stuff too.

This week, we've got a double-guest special event on our hands, as I'm joined by Shane Crowley and Vicky Moonan from all the way on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. In discussing the first two episodes of That's So Raven, we wonder about the timeline implications of Raven's visions, which sometimes don't come true, and whether cheating on a test is really that bad. Naturally, we also discuss our past English teachers, the dreams we've been having, and the Girl Meets World communism episode.

Welcome another guest from MWCA! Caitlin and I discuss a 2001 DCOM about half-leprechauns and flamboyant nationalism. We try to figure out how much power the magic coins actually have, whether or not Kathy has been married before, and if that basketball game at the end even happened or not.

This week, I discuss one of the most popular Disney Channel shows of all time with MWCA's very own Dr. Doofenshmirtz, who knows nothing at all about Disney Channel: Sam Saper! Listen as we contemplate the purpose of Captain Stretchy, the giant bug in the living room, and the absence of an Emmett spinoff.

Disney Channel Discourse is back in a big way, with a guest appearance by the one and only Zach Timson! He does his Phineas voice, and then we talk about his time guest-starring on KC Undercover, Stuck in the Middle, and Coop and Cami Ask the World. We try and figure out why everyone always calls him Josh, and he tries to get a handle on the Tommy Westphall Cinematic Universe. +plenty of Phineas & Ferb discussion.

It's the 20th anniversary of Lizzie McGuire! In my last episode before a short hiatus, I learn about the mechanics of "chat requests" in 2001, I stand back in awe of the braindead student populous, and I frantically wonder why no one is wearing a smock in art class.
