This week we're talking all about the 2010 movie Starstruck with guest host Amy Lomuto, our Gen-Z representative and Brandon's sister. (How many sisters does this guy have, anyway??) James is absent but fills the void in our hearts with his take on a Ward 8 cocktail. There is nothing more American than a movie where all Europeans are bad by default. We watched Bad Hair Day, the 2015 DCOM starring Laura Marano (Austin & Ally) and Leigh-Allyn Baker (Good Luck Charlie). Mix up a Tommy Gun to make up for the fact that this movie struggled without the presence of a gun.

Cow Belles is a 2006 DCOM featuring Aly & AJ working at a dairy factory but also solving an embezzlement case?? Idk, don't think too much about it. James mixes up a tasty White Russian and we talk about hoof trimming, awkward middle school AIM moments, and daddy's yogurt.

Some thirteen year old boys go through growth spurts and voice cracks, others grow scales and channel electricity in their hands. That's growing up, baby! We watched The Thirteenth Year, the 1999 DCOM about one boy discovering that his swimming skills and love of water might be more than just coincidence. Find the biggest glass you own and mix up a Fish Bowl, then invite your friends over to listen to this movie's title track on repeat all night (just kidding... or not).

This week we watched Frenemies, the 2012 Bella Thorne/Zendaya DCOM that boldly asks, "What if a movie were just three episodes of a TV show?" Set aside some time to make James's Frosé(nemies), and after two glasses you'll be just as convinced as we are that this movie was written by an AI.

The 2011 movie Lemonade Mouth follows a high school band as they fight for what they believe in, which happens to be a vending machine. It is important that you watch this movie so you can enjoy Christopher McDonald handling a Segway like it's an extension of his own body. Then mix up a Bourbon brain and listen to our episode to find out which actor was arrested for armed robbery.

We gotta be honest: we all missed the boat on this show growing up so we went into this one pretty blind. But that ended up working out, because this 2011 DCOM is full of pleasant surprises--nobody expects a Lorenzo Lamas joke, a Georgia O'Keeffe joke, and a Kierkegaard joke all within five minutes of each other. So blend up a Dirty Doofenslurper and start slurping while we break down our first animated DCOM, thank our fans for our first Grammy, and answer fan mail from ... Bryan Metz?
