Disney Diagnoses (Part 1) – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Jaime and Angee decide to use some of our most beloved (or hated) Disney characters and discuss their behavior from a therapeutic standpoint. Jaime has a bone to pick with Snow White (aka Dumb B*$@#) so this seemed the most appropriate starting point. Not to mention she was the OG Disney Princess.
To be honest, we weren’t entirely sure which way the discussion would go (are we ever?) but we feel confident you’ll like some of the insights found within such a familiarly classic film. Some of the topics include generational trauma, developmentally appropriate behaviors, the unrealistic expectations of both women and men within the society, and the hidden agendas/biases surrounding aging, working class, and submissive behaviors.
