Dr. Misti Mueller brings 18 years of public school teaching experience to her associate professor role at the VCU School of Education. She was selected as the Virginia Middle School Physical Educator of the Year in 2004, and more recently, as the state’s College/University Physical Educator of the Year. She has presented at the national, state and local levels on the topics of pedagogy and incorporating technology into the field of health and physical

education as a means to enhance the educational experience for students. Currently Dr. Mueller serves as associate professor of teaching and learning and executive director of the Mary and Frances Youth Center at Virginia Commonwealth University. In this episode, Dr. Mueller discusses her dissertation titled "Physical Education: Class Climate and Adolescent Girls’ Physical Activity."
