Life clearly has its ups and downs and, more often than not, there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. Sometimes all you can do is just to let it happen. It's an odd feeling to completely let go of any desire to change things or impulses to act. It feels stressful, but it's funny how much more peaceful it may feel.
