The Crue had a great run in the 80's. Their music and videos along with coverage in all the rock magazines was everywhere. It was fun bringing my good pals Tee Bone and the Snowman into the "Den" to discuss the five albums that Motley released from 1981 through to 1989.
Since the three of us are old enough to remember buying these records and seeing their shows in the 80's. I thought it would be a cool idea to see what our thoughts are about the Crue back in 2026 in regards to these albums.
Join us for some excellent conversations and laughs along the way for the next hour.
I had the good fortune to interview Larry back on September 3 2023. Larry was one of the nicest guys in the music biz that I had the good fortune to have a chat with about his career. RIP Larry.
Kick Axe guitarist Larry Gillstrom has seen it all in the music business over the last forty years. From being signed to a U.S label, touring North America with Judas Priest, Whitesnake, Quiet Riot amongst others. We discuss writing songs for Kick Axe that ended up on other albums such as King Kobra, W.A.S.P, Spectre General as well as those stories about a Black Sabbath and Krokus connection and why was the Welcome To The Club Tour cancelled right after their appearance in Thunder Bay.
KISS just recently released "Destroys Anaheim '76" upon the world. Check out what my thoughts are on this release taking in consideration its a 50 year old show!
Thanks as always for listening.
Robert Lawson joined me a few years ago and together we discussed "Cheap Trick Live At The Whisky 1977" which was limited to only 2000 copies worldwide on CD. It was a great discussion with Robert in regards to RockFord Illinois finest.
In today's episode I chat about one of my favourite bands Coney Hatch and the fact that they may be finished.
Thanks for listening.
AC/DC is on the final North American stretch of their "Power Up" World Tour. In each city the band plays, they are doing pop up stores which include merchandise, fan events and guitar giveaways. In this episode I discuss the upcoming Winnipeg Pop Up store which will be on September 19th and 20th 2026. For more info check out the official AC/DC website at pwruptour.acdc.com
Thanks for listening.
Once again I have had the good fortune of Andy Curran coming on the "Distortion Den" to co-host. AC has a lot going on and we get right to it. We do a deep dive into the recently released self titled Coney Hatch debut celebrating its 40th Birthday. I also get the lowdown on the soon to be acoustic-only performance of Coney Hatch, along with some scoops on Envy of None, Rush, Whiskey & The Devil and so much more.
I even share with Andy my Top 12 Hatch tunes (If I'm being honest, it changes daily).
It's always a great conversation when Andy hops on.
Previous times Andy has given some great stories like when he almost formed a band with Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden) and the wacky audition he had with Doro amongst many tales of rock n roll from a man who has been in the biz and has seen and done it all.
Special thanks to Brent and Chip at ChipsterPR for setting up the chat.

Welcome back to The Distortion Den! The only podcast where our hearing is shot, our denim is acid-washed, and we still judge people by the size of their Aqua Net bill.
Every week deKe will…
We are celebrating everything from the stadium-shaking anthems of Aerosmith, KISS, and Def Leppard, to the ultimate fretboard fireworks of Van Halen. Plus, we are throwing major love to our northern rock royalty, from the high-octane power of Triumph and the wild energy of Iron Maiden, to the heavy-hitting riffs of AC/DC and more..
If you grew up plastering your bedroom walls with pin-ups torn straight out of Circus, Creem, Hit Parader, RIP, or Metal Edge, you are in the right place. And yes, we are absolutely dusting off our old copies of Music Express magazine.
So grab your vinyl, check your earplugs at the door, and turn it up. You are officially trapped in the Den!
