Disturbing the Priest with Brandon Battick

Brandon is joined by his friend in the first part of a 2 part episode to discuss everything "Hair Metal". The extra explicit episode goes over the problem with the term "Hair Metal" as well as going over the top bands in the genre and how they got so big. The episode also includes  conversation on W.A.S.P, Dokken, Kiss, and other hair bands. 

Brandon talks about Metallica's 4th record and why it's his favorite Metallica album. The episode goes over the band before and during the recording of this record along with how it was mixed followed by a song by song analysis of the bands most technical album to date.

Brandon goes over his first time listening to heavy metal and what bands he first got into along with recommendations for new metalheads. The podcast includes a list of albums he would give to anyone who is trying to get into the genre along with single album recommendations for certain metal subgenres. 

In celebration of 420, Brandon goes over the history of the song Dopesmoker and gives his thoughts on stoner doom metal. The episode contains stoner doom metal band recommendations along with thoughts on the band Electric Wizard.

Disturbing the Priest is the offspring of the college radio show Into The Void at WMLN which is ending in 2022 due to the host graduating from college. The episode goes over the history of heavy metal starting in the ’30s and ending in 1970 along with a host introduction.
