We’re excited to have Ryan Dusick on the show. Ryan’s the former drummer and was a founding member of the band Maroon 5, one of the most popular groups in the world. Dusick was even part of the band that preceded Maroon 5, Kara's Flowers, which he and Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, and Mickey Madden founded in 1994, while they were still in high school.
Today, Ryan’s an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, a mental health professional focusing on anxiety and sobriety. He’s also a published author with a new book out now titled Harder to Breathe: A Memoir of Making Maroon 5, Losing It All, and Finding Recovery. Ryan works at The Missing Peace Center for Anxiety in Agoura Hills, CA, where he’s spreading the message that recovery is possible. We’re thrilled to have him on the show today, and we hope his message has a positive impact on each of you who are listening.

Amy Wright connects on a call with Dropkick Murphys founder Ken Casey to learn about their new album, released September 30th via the band’s label Dummy Luck Music, This Machine Still Kills Fascists, in which they bring Woody Guthrie's lyrics to life.
This album is like nothing they’ve done before, and in 10 songs, they've harnessed all of their energy to show how powerful an acoustic album can be. Ken shares all about the making of the album, how it was inspired by Woody Guthrie's daughter Nora, and how the idea had been percolating for more than a decade as Nora curated a collection of her father's never-published lyrics. Ken’s an engaging speaker and we’re thrilled to have him on the line.

Amy Wright catches up with veteran bluesman and endearing artist Charlie Musselwhite. A Mississippi native born in the 40s, he came of age in Memphis, TN, right as rock and roll was clawing its way into existence and latching onto the hearts of young teenagers around the country, but it was the blues of Chicago that called Charlie’s name.
On today’s show, Charlie and Amy look at the achievements and legacy that he’s built over the last 60 plus years, including his latest album for Alligator Records, Mississippi Son, released in June of this year. The Grammy Award-winning music legend has released nearly 40 albums and is renowned worldwide as a master harmonica player, a seasoned, truth telling vocalist and an original songwriter rooted deep within the blues tradition.
