Bio of Susan Rommelfanger: My love of gardening blossomed under the guidance of my father who encouraged and inspired me from a very young age. I find it empowering and awe-inspiring to put in the work, bury something deep, nurture it, then watch it grow into something beautiful.

Ever since I was a little girl it's been my dream to bring fresh, locally grown, sustainably produced foods to my community and the surrounding communities.

Susan Rommelfanger of Romy Farms shares her journey of sustainable farming on 52 acres in the Flint Hills of Kansas, where she grows produce year-round using innovative high tunnels while nurturing strong community connections. Through her CSA program, apiary, and educational initiatives, Susan demonstrates how small-scale farming can create meaningful relationships between producers and consumers while providing fresh, local food.

• Operating two high tunnels (hoop houses) that extend the growing season throughout the year
• Running a vibrant 17-member Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program
• Producing raw wildflower honey through their apiary

BIO: Deb Matlock grew up in the mountains of Colorado and is deeply committed to nurturing the connection between people, animals, earth, and spirit. She has spent twenty-five years working as a professional environmental and humane educator and naturalist. Additionally, Deb offers shamanic- style spiritual guidance, animal communication, nature connection workshops, and retreats through her business, Wild Rhythms. She is passionate about helping people find connection and deep spiritual meaning in their lives and in the places where they live. Deb holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Education from Prescott College and is pursuing her doctoral degree in environmental studies at Antioch University New England.

We explore the sacred connections between humans and the natural world, diving into ways to communicate with what guest Deb Matlock calls the "more-than-human world." This conversation challenges us to recognize that we're part of a magical dance with all life forms on Earth, not separate from or superior to the rest of nature.

BIO: Tara Levine is a focused leader, on a powerful mission to influence the world of leadership, coaching and development. Born and raised in Wichita Kansas, with two undergraduate degrees, three certifications and a law degree under her belt, she comes with a plethora of experience and education supporting her awareness of challenges women of color face daily in their corporate environment. She is an advocate for mentorship and strong, supportive networks.

Recently, Tara made history as the first married, mother and woman over the traditional age of 28 (she’s 40) to be crowned Miss San Antonio USA, marking a monumental moment in the USA pageant system. In 2022 the Miss Universe Organization released the restrictions, allowing for more diversity in women representation. 

In Tara’s mind, with pain comes power, due to the unexpected passing of her youngest sister in 2018- she has been enthused at creating a better world for young ladies transitioning from high school into college, as a result Talia’s Team was founded. Talia’s Team is a non-profit mentorship organization developed to support young ladies navigating relationships, love, careers, finances and more as they step into the next chapter of life. Tara enjoys connecting with goal-oriented women and a commitment to make a difference. She believes in the power of women converging to implement change and has ensured that the purpose of Talia’s Team quantifies just that.

Tara Levine shares her inspiring journey founding Talia's Team, a nonprofit helping young women transition from high school to college while discovering their authentic selves beyond societal pressures. After losing her sister to an accidental overdose in 2018, Tara created this organization to provide mentorship for girls struggling with identity and societal expectations.

Gia-Raquel Rose, owner of Airs Above Yoga, LLC and a real estate sales associate in Tewksbury, New Jersey has had a love for horses stemming from early childhood. Growing up in “horse country” afforded her the privilege of beginning to ride from the tender age of four. It was a childhood illness, which brought her riding aspirations to an abrupt halt. It took twenty years before she was able to reunite with her long lost passion for horses and their ability to heal. In that time, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication from Arcadia University and became a twice two hundred hour certified yoga instructor in both Hatha and Vinyasa. It was the loss of her mother, Rose, to breast cancer, which ultimately shifted her trajectory from the corporate world to the internal work for which yoga, as a practice, is renowned.
