Is CRT correlated to other terms, like “anti-racism” and “social justice,” with which it is often conflated? Or is this the latest ploy in divisive media? Chase-Mitchell, native New Yorker and Classroom Culture co-founder, has worked in the nonprofit sector under the education umbrella in the capacity of director of programs and has taught middle school English for ten years in Northern Virginia. Ms. Chase-Mitchell is currently a Learning Specialist with an independent school in Washington, D.C., where she implements innovative instructional strategies for students in grades 9-12.
In 2015, Meredith co-published a collection of essays and interviews called Why the SUN Rises: the faces and stories of women in education.
