Sabah Pervez is a senior program manager at Catalyst @ Health 2.0. She holds a BS in neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin and an MHA/MBA from the University of Houston- Clear Lake. Among her various projects at Health 2.0, she leads the efforts for Health 2.0’s Diversity Mentorship Program, TECHquality. TECHquality provides an opportunity for underrepresented innovators (or innovators-to-be) to be matched with leaders in the health tech field, to help guide and support the innovators in their health tech endeavors. [2:30] – Grew up in a conservative part of Texas as a first generation Pakistani and was a challenge finding a role model growing up.
[3:45] – Being able to speak different languages is important Junior year of college, she did a study abroad program in Hong Kong volunteering in orphanages and churches, which changed how she wanted to make an impact on the world.

Having a gender diverse cultural impacts the way colleagues work with one another. It was allows the work to take precedence instead of a focus on the lack of a diverse environment.
