He relates the similarity of our seclusion to that of the Israelites when they went to Gilgal.  Gilgal was a place of "quarantine" for the Israelites after being circumcised.  Gilgal symbolises a time of closeness to God for the Israelites. The period of lock-down here and elsewhere in the world can be seen in the same way - a time of drawing close to God!
