Please join Ida Reis, CDLP® with the Divorce Lending Association as she interviews Chetana Bhat.
Chetana Bhat, Founder of Personal, Professional, Relationship Development (PPRD), is an executive and leadership coach and a licensed counselor. As an executive coach, she is a thought partner and sounding board for executives helping them build on their existing strengths to take their goals forward. She also helps them find a structured approach to lead the organization during difficult times. As a counselor, Chetana has worked with individuals and couples for two decades. She also has extensive experience in providing workshops on numerous topics. She was invited to be on many panels over the years with leaders from various backgrounds.
Chetana describes her career and life as a process of continued learning, growth, and transformation. She believes in the importance of connectedness and relationships whether it is within oneself or with the world around us. So, she decided to name her organization to reflect the above, Personal, Professional, Relationship Development (PPRD).
Chetana moved from India to US more than 40 years ago. Though originally aspired to become a doctor and a scientist, she had to change her course of life and education due to challenges she encountered. As a result, she graduated with a B.S. in Business administration from University of Maryland and M.S. in Clinical Counseling from Johns Hopkins.
Chetana acquired many certifications and training in the past many years. She is certified in EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 (emotional intelligence) and is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. As someone with interest in working with executives and organizations, Chetana further trained in Executive Coaching, CliftonStrengths Coaching, Mediation, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, Conflict Resolution, Imago Relationship Counseling, and Gottman Method Relationship Therapy. Along with being a coach and a counselor, she also has served as a mediator, collaborative divorce coach, speaker, trainer, peer group facilitator, and workshop presenter. She taught an Interpersonal Communication Skills course at a nearby college for a few years and is a verbal intervention trainer for the staff of an organization. As a communication coach, Chetana works closely with clients to help them see their communication gaps and communicate their ideas clearly.
