This episode is all about Parental Alienation. 
What it is? Both how it is defined in terminology & how to spot it. 
Did you know there are 3 main types of Parental Alienation! 
We ask questions like "do the kids have a voice?"
"Can you get a psychological assessment if you feel your situation is deemed severe?"
How do you demonstrate and prove that you are experiencing alienation? 
What you can ask your children and how you can show them you are present in their lives and want to be. 
How does it start? Can it be a subtle gradual thing? Or is it out-rightly obvious.
What is "sibling alienation"?

Our guest, Jeetesh Patel, is an expert Family Lawyer at Laurus Law. He works in many areas of Family Law including adoption and surrogacy. But he is also well known for his expertise in the field of parental alienation.

Fay & I took the summer off and had a little break to recharge our Podcast batteries, but we're back with a bang and have brought you an awe-inspiring guest for this episode of The Divorce Coaching Podcast. 

Dr Supriya McKenna MBBS, also know as "The Life Doctor", is one of the top specialists in the UK in NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) and Co-Author of the highly recommended book: Divorcing a Narcissist.

If you've been on IG, FB, Twitter or even here at any point in the last few years, you've probably witnessed the not so discrete rise in the use of the terms: Narcissist, Narcissism or Narcissistic. You've probably Googled it and have made your mind up about who in your life is and isn't a Narcissist... In many cases, this term is used towards former spouses. Which had me thinking...! "Are ALL Ex's Narcissists?"

Dr Supirya joined us to dispel some huge myths around NPD, to help educate us all on the severity and seriousness of true NPD, as well as the over use and dissolving of what is and is not NPD. As the good Dr puts it, we are all on a scale, it just depends where we are on that scale.

Hey Listeners 🎧

Ep17 of the Divorce Coaching Podcast is quite a special one indeed. This week it's just me and 2 of my 4 blended family beauties, Zac & Sam joined me in the yellow chair to give us some insights into what it's like being a child of divorce 😍

These two young gentlemen came out with some absolutely gems, they clearly do listen to me sometimes as they are dropping verbal bombs about going through "transformations" and more (mic drop for the boys) 🎤

Zac & Sam are "step" siblings, they have been in each others lives since summer 2017, They goo between our home and the alternate parents home (anyone that follows me knows, our ex's are a couple as well, so in each home they always have 1 bio & 1 non-bio parent). 

I set them some questions before we recorded, they collaborated and discussed their thoughts and worked out their answers between them. But other than that it was completely live, unplanned and really really insightful. 

The boys share their experiences of living between two homes.
What they like / don't like.
The ups and downs.
What it's like for kids when Mum & Dad split up.
And also what it's like when Mum & Dad truly put their kids first and make the effort and find a way to work together for the better of their children. 

Zac & Sam, thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your thoughts, feelings and experiences. You boys are so brave for doing this. They have asked for our audiences thoughts and questions you have from this episode and they'll be back again in t he future to answer your questions in another future episode.

There are many forms of mediation, one of which peaked my interest when hearing more about it a little while ago from my good friend and expert in her field, Louisa Whitney at LKW Family Mediation.

Louisa is a specialist mediator and works in a very interesting area that is all about putting "child at the centre, NOT the middle".

It might be your divorce / separation... but it's your kids experiences and life-long lessons that will show you whether you did it right... or not!

Your children have a voice, opinions, feelings and should be heard as such. Without judgement, criticism or fear of persecution or reprimand.

Ep13 is all about starting over after your divorce / separation.

Now I thought Fay & I were going to go down the practical route in this chat of the nuts and bolts of what do you do after the "formal" process was done...

But straight out the gate and Fay jumps in with a banger of question that I was expecting... "what was the major change you had to navigate after..." and it turns out she meant after "that conversation"!!! Like immediately after...
Where would I stay that first night?
When would I/could I see the kids?
How the hell do you communicate with your ex when you've just said it's over!?

As ever, we covered a loooooot of taboo topics and some really heavy hitting, every day questions that someone may be gong through.
