Sometimes it’s hard to see the solutions you are looking for when you are in divorce. Eliisa, Orange County Real Estate Broker and Philanthropist, sat down with us to talk about the unique solution that she and her former spouse found when dividing their real estate properties. For many people, it does make sense to sell the family home and split the profits, but there is not a cookie cutter way to approach divorce. It is important to consider that each party is going to have unique goals throughout the process, and to stay focused on the mutual goal of resolving your matter amicably.

The hardest part about the challenges we face is appreciating the lessons we learn from them. DB prompts us to ask ourselves: Why not? Why not be nicer to people? Why not be nicer to yourself? If it feels better, do it. DB breaks down how to ask yourself the same question when you are looking for things to be thankful for in the face of our greatest obstacles. “Adversity doesn’t change our drive and hustle--it just makes things more challenging.” No matter how deep the hole is, keep climbing.

How does the pandemic affect the real estate market? This pandemic has consistently held a seller's market. With limited real estate available in Southern California, families anxious to get more space, and the unemployment rate at a high, brokers have never seen a bubble like this. Interest rates are at an all time low and have allowed the real estate market to make a V shape recovery.
