Before there was Myspace, chat rooms, AIM, iPods, MP3s, and texting; we had party lines, pen pals, walkmans, mixtapes, and pagers. Now when you're thirteen years old with no money and no job, what did you do to show that person you had a crush on how you felt about them? You either made her a mixtape or dedicated a song to her on the radio. And if you lived in the Bay Area during the early 90's, the show to dedicate that song and publicly declare your love for that special someone was live on the airwaves on KMEL's "Love Line" (later renamed The Love Zone).
This mixtape hopes to capture that whole feel good era of high school crushes and teenage love. I want to take you back to the days of house parties, slow dancing with the one you had that crush on, and to pay homage to The Love Zone.
