Hi there everybody. Well, as we approach this coming weekend, which happens to be the 25th anniversary of the Palm Springs White Party(and my 10th year personally), I seem to be filled with feelings of both sentiment and nostalgia. White Party Palm Springs has always held a special place in my heart throughout the years. To me, White Party Weekend was that weekend of the year in which friends would come together from all over the country(and the world for that matter) and converge upon the California desert to join together and enjoy a weekend of kick ass parties and circuit music. Of course, not to mention the visuals of the parties along with of course, the EYE CANDY.
Another thought which also goes through my mind are those comments which I have been reading recently made by all the naysayers out there. Hey, I admit that this event has historically had its share of problems, etc. However, I do not think that a weekend of this magnitude is bound to go off without a few "hiccups". I can appreciate the opinion of you naysayers, but to you I also have three words which I would like to say to you and that is "THEN STAY HOME".
Of course, life and mother nature continue with their natural progression of things, and we all have managed to grow a little older and hopefully a little wiser. As I was creating this mix, I found it difficult to come up with a mix which would properly represent the significance of this particular White Party Weekend. What I have come up with is a collection of tracks that to me, represent what this weekend is about.
So, enjoy the mix and to those of you who are fortunate enough to actually be attending this weekend's festivities, party safe and smart.
