So, i took the week and actually listened to the radio. Mostly because I rarely do and sometimes you need to get in touch with what's popular. I used to work at an indie movie theater/cafe in Downtown San Jose during college. It was an eclectic mix of artists, designers, writers, budding film makers, and musicians. Besides the random films we showed, we were allowed to play whatever CD’s (yea I said CD’s) we wanted. So I would make CD mixes of songs, give them themes, and play them in the cafe. One of the more popular ones were my “Hip-Hop Luv” mixes. Basically, R&B song’s with rappers on it or rap songs talking about women. Either way, they were a good reflection of what I would of listened to in my car, if I had one. That is the inspiration for this latest mix, enjoy and tell a friend.

When I came to NYC, one of my main goals was to learn how to house dance. I thought I knew when I came here but in about 5 minutes at my first house club I got schooled real quick! That was six years ago and I am still learning new moves and grooves even now. I also got more into the music and the various soulful sounds. Just that soft warm fun feeling of a good track. Either way, house is all about the music and I will never forget that that. - DJ Cam
