  • #23 - Kyra Bramble

Kyra Bramble is an author, chef, entrepreneur, marketer and yogi based out of Maui, Hawaii. We discuss her book, “Burning Wings: A mostly true story about love, light, fear, darkness, hallucinations, narcotics, spirituality, debauchery, and that thing in the desert.” That thing is burning man. Kyra takes readers through a journey of adventure and self-discovery. A journey narrated in a third person perspective that follows a 21 year, optimistic, bright eyed, and naíve young woman. There are hallucinogenic highs and traumatizing and perceptive shattering lows. It is a story of fire and ash and a story of a rebirth. Burning wings is an odyssey through a mythical psychedelic landscape that oscillates between reality and illusion. She offers epiphanies amidst the turbulence induced by drugs. Kyra’s voice is authentically feminine and her prose flexs with Gonzo flair.

Kyra answers questions on her book and invites us to better understand herself, her inspiration, and her interests. She’s a woman of many talents and an individual wisened by a variety of colorful experiences. We feel her perspective and writing resonate deeply with EDM culture.

We hope you all enjoy the episode. Stay Caffeinated!
