DJ Hapa Presents

Matt and Julio, better known on stage by their alter ego GTA, dropped by DASH Radio to give us some insight into their journey. Meeting through a mutual friend on Facebook, they quickly began to collaborate. Later touring with Rihanna, they gained a life-changing experience and honed in on crowd control by learning that different crowds from all around the world have their own unique vibes. Tackling their personal stash of music, they are now on Vol. 3 of Death to Genres where they breakthrough the norm of genres. As a rule of thumb, they try not to focus on one specific genre, as they don’t want to limit the creative flow of expressing oneself as an artist. Death to Genres Vol. 3 slams through 4 amazing tracks that features artist like Dillon Francis, Bower, Damien N-drix, and more. Before signing off the duo offered up amazing advice for newcomers on the scene. Some advice they mentioned is to remember to stay in your own lane by not getting distracted by what others are doing because people’s opportunities come in different ways, they highlight on the importance of patience, and running through your career by your own terms. Great advice and a great talk with GTA.  Follow their journey here

A man of many talents, the homie FKi 1st stops by the station to chat with me about his latest project called Good Gas.  The multi-platinum producer/artist/writer and all around curator is here to help all of us sift through the garbage and find the gems...the good music...the Good Gas.  We sit down and chat about the state of music and as always, he puts me up on some new slang...

Had the pleasure of having my brothas Play N Skillz stop through the studio to bring their latest SMASH, Azukita with Steve Aoki, Daddy Yankee and Elvis Crespo.  This record is going to be HUUUUUUGE.   Listen in here!

Che'nelle isn't a new artist by any means but does have a new sound and direction.  Having great success overseas in Japan over the last several years the Malaysia-born singer/songwriter is now ready to release the project that taps into her authentic voice.  She comes on Music Mornings to play two songs from her EP, including one with our friend Konshens and does a little #Craigslust with us.

Jenn Morel is more than just a model.  Through hard work, the right team, and an emerging sound, Jenn has landed herself over 22 million views on her hit Poteme and is well on her way to establishing a lasting career.  We sat down to chat with her about the growth of Poteme and she brings us by a brand new record that has already hit #1 on Europe charts.

I'm so proud of this guy!  I first met Wingtip when he was "Flaxo" and was winning collegiate DJ battles and to see his growth now into an accomplished producer with hit after hit record.  He stopped by the studio at DASH to chat with myself and Nik from The Dancing Pineapple about some of his newest releases and his plans to relocate to LA!  Follow Wingtip here
